I woke up to what I was expecting, noise. I felt a little happy to hear it, especially after my experience with the ghost cat last night. I shivered as if I just had a terrible nightmare, which in my case I did. I stretched my tail and back felt sore from training and I just wanted to sleep, but I knew I had to get up or have my mentor do that for me. I padded out of the den into the camp clearing everyone was talking and RussetCloud was organizing cats into the dawn patrol. I quickly bounded up and offered to go on it. RussetCloud looked please at my eagerness to join patrol. And I remembered that her ancestor ThornClaw also liked patrol so that explains why she likes it so much. To this day everyone still calls ThornClaw "the patrol guy" whatever a "guy" is.
I followed BrambleBerry and FlamePaw into the forest, the other half of the patrol went in the other part of the forest. We were heading towards the lake. I quickly padded faster than the others even after being told to slow down by BrambleBerry a thousand times. WillowPaw!? Slow down! Your so hyper right now you making me crazier then a fox in a fit! I stopped and rolled my eyes. Then turned around. Sorry! I meowed sweetly, not meaning anything I was saying at all. I guess your just to old to catch up with someone as fast as me! I said sprinting off in the forest. BrambleBerry is so ancient! Shouldn't she be like, retired?
I paused trying to remember where I was, but I didn't remember this part of our territory. Huh? This doesn't smell like my territory, I said aloud. Suddenly a black figure jumped out of a bush and sprang at me bowling me over and pinning me, and when I looked up to see my attacker I realized it was a DarkClan warrior, about to rip me apart.
