Cold breeze touches my skin

And I shiver from within

As I stood here waiting

For a new day to begin

The sound of waves filled my ear

That could bring me to tears

So I close my eyes with hope

As I think of happy notes

The sun slowly creeps by the horizon

And I have another day to face on

But this time, things will be different

Something will change that is permanent

A bird suddenly passes by

And I can’t help but smile

Because now I know how it feels

As all wounds are now healed

The sun finally rises

Like life another surprises

And today I am now finally free

As I could now finally be me
