                     Prologue

"LIKE YOU EVEN LOVE ME ANYWAY!" I slammed my door shut. A single tear rolled down my cheek as I slid against my door onto the ground. I hate it, I thought, I hate my life. As I thought that I heard a small knock on the door and took a deep breath, then opened it. "WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW?!"

"I'm... I'm s-sorry." A small voice squeaked from the other side of the door.

A small head emerged from the door and ran straight to me after shutting the door. Arms quickly wrapped around me in a sort of scared yet happy way. A smile crept on my face as I hugged the being's back, buring my face into its head. I felt bad for yelling when I opened the door. I probably scared its little soul.

"Are you okay brother?" It asked me in a shaky voice.

"I'm better now that you at here", I smiled and answered kindly, "Are you okay Lill?"

"Yes I am." She answered.

I took her to go and sit on my bed for a while. She sat down and lied down. Oh Lillian. Every one thought she was younger than I, but to be honest we are twins, identical in every way which is very weird. We have the same blonde hair, hers is slightly paler. Our eyes are a bluish green color and our skin is just as white as the other. To be honest the only way we are different is how we act around people, she is quiet and kind and I speak my mind.

"Do you think mommy and daddy will ever get along?  Do you think they will actually like us for once?" She blurted.

"Only one can dream, but hopefully soon." I responded. I got into the bed and turned my lights off in my room. She curled up against me, her skin as cold as ice,  yet she shivered only when I touch her. I placed the covers over her  making sure she would be warm. Ever since that day, mommy and daddy have not been getting along. Maybe only one can dream that they will get better and we can be a big happy family again. Maybe Lill and I can go back to school again, but the world may never know.
