"Sasuke!" The pinkette female squealed after class had ended. Since she had Sasuke and Naruto on her team, she's been having mixed feeling. She wanted Sasuke to notice her and like her more and wanted Naruto to go away. Sakura was trying to get Sasuke to eat with her, since they're on the same team now, so she figured she could convince him, but it wasn't as easy as she hoped it would be. Sakura had been acting this way for years though, so it was nothing new.
"No." The Uchiha spoke coldly and walked away, stuffing his hands in his pockets, an annoyed look on his face as he headed to the forest for some peace and quiet. When he found his place on a rock, he took out his rice balls and started eating, but a soft voice made him turn his head and he noticed a female raising a kunai. Eyes widened, he quickly went behind the rock and held his breath without realizing. 'She didn't see me.. right?' He released the air he didn't realize he was holding. Peeking over the rock, he saw she was now covered in blood, but the bushes she stood behind made it hard for him to see who it was. She seemed to be about his age though, maybe younger. If she is younger, he couldn't tell. Slowly, he reached for his pouch and took out a kunai, watching this female carefully. He had never seen this girl before, so he wasn't sure of her abilities, and wasn't wanting to find out. It was then that she looked towards him. His eyes slightly widened. Aside from the blood, she looked beautiful, which was an odd thought for Sasuke. He just stared at her, completely shocked.
Her baby blue eyes looked directly into his onyx blue eyes. Innocence clouded her dull eyes. Her pale skin covered in bruised and cuts, blood coming from her side as the blood on her face made some of her hair stick to her cheek. The sun made her silver hair seem to glow slightly as the wind blew it a bit. There were no noises as Sasuke just stared, an odd feeling in his stomach. Fear? He dismissed it as she began to walk towards him. Her dull, innocent eyes stared right through him. "I never thought my target would come to me..." She mumbled to herself. Her eyes scanning over what she could see of him. Yet, she held a sudden look of confusion. she couldn't read him, why?
This sudden comment made the Uchiha's eyes widen slightly. 'So, I'm her target then?' He thought, and gripped the kunai in his hand a bit tighter. Had she been watching him? "Who are you?" He asked, narrowing his eyes a bit. He felt like he shouldn't attack, but also felt he'd be hurt if he didn't attack. Could she really hurt him though, with eyes full of the one thing she didn't look. Innocent. He had witnessed her killing something, of course she's going to hurt him... Right? He held his position and slowly stood up, staring at her. "Who are you?" He asked once more, a little louder, but she didn't respond.
With such a blank, innocent look, she stared into his eyes. Before her hand slowly raised to wipe some blood from her cheek. She then sprinted at him, faster than he expected. A sheathed katana she had was revealed as she swung at him with the intent to kill.
He raised his kunai and blocked her, being pushed back slightly. Lifting his leg, he kicked her side that was already injured, knowing it would definitely hurt her as some blood gushed out onto his shoe. She gasped out in pain and jumped back before, placing her free hand onto her wound. sheathing her katana, he thought she was surrendering for a second, but he was wrong as she started doing a hand sign. The moisture in the ground began to rise and form into sharp spear figures. 'Water and wind..' Sasuke thought and jumped back as the spears shot at him. One cut his leg and he flinched in pain before running at her. He went to punch her but she ducks and kicks his cut, but he had no reaction as he elbowed her back. She was weak from her injuries and lack of blood, and he knew she was, but he wasn't going easy on her. He was her target, which meant she intended to kill him. He took a step back and spun his kunai around in his hand and went to stab her but stopped suddenly. She was staring up at him, her baby blue eyes gazed into his. His hand shook slightly, the kunai slipping from his hands, but he regained his conscious as she went to stab him. He grabbed her arm and pulled her up, punching her stomach with his other hand, hard enough to knock her out. She coughed out, blood dripping from her mouth as she collapsed froward. Sasuke held her up and sighed in annoyance, pulling her up more. He just wanted to eat his lunch in peace. He dragged her to a tree and leaned her against it before walking away. Even though she tried killing him, he didn't get far before his guilty conscious began coming to him. With a grunt, he headed back, stopping once he was a few feet from her.
Her had was tilted to the side a bit as some blood dripped down her pale skin from her mouth. She looked so small now, so fragile. Her hair a mess, being at shoulder length and covered in dirt and blood, though he could tell it was white, or silver. A small butterfly had landed on her nose, flapping its wings slightly. With a sigh, he walked to her and shooed the butterfly away and carefully picked up her up bridal style. Staring at her, he noticed how light she is. He then headed back to the Leaf Village to get her to the hospital. Oddly enough, the small female fit perfectly in his arms as he carried her into the hospital.
~time skip~
Her eyes fluttered open as she looked towards the ceiling. Her eyes filled with curiosity and confusion as she slowly sat up, as they glossed back over with nothing. "Good, you're awake. The hokage wants to see you." The male spoke and she glanced at him, seeing it was Sasuke who stood there. A bandage on his leg. She stared at him, confused on why she was there in the hospital. Slowly, she stood up and stared at him. "..." Her eyes trailed over his body, yet no emotion showed in her eyes. Sasuke didn't know if she was checking him out and going to be his new fan girl, or if she was plotting his death. Personally, he didn't want either of those options to be true. Luckily for him, she was merely deducing him. He raised his brow then motioned for her to follow him. Her side hurt a lot still, as she bandaged up now. She didn't have her weapons on her though, typical. She followed after him as they left the hospital and headed to the hokages office. Once there, Sasuke knocked and was given permission to enter, which he did, being followed by the young female. "Sasuke, good you've brought her." Lady Tsunade looked at her. "I don't know your intentions, but attacking one of our own was a risky move. Especially covered in the wounds you were in." She paused, looking at her body. "What's your name." She asked, resting her chin on her hands. The female was looking around the office before looking to the Hokage. "Naomi... Naomi Winters."
Her voice was so small and she seemed to venerable then, making Sasuke stare at her, shocked by her voice, but Tsunade was shocked by the name. She was the last of the Winter clan. She was known by adults who had to clean up her mess, a whole village had been completely frozen over and her whole clan was killed, but her and 2 others were missing from the dead bodies and they were thought to have been the murderers, but her father appeared and warned Tsunade of what power Naomi held. Thinking, she began to wonder if Naomi ever fell into her hands just what she could do with her. With someone so young yet powerful. She had her doubts of the males story. Was this female, Naomi, really that powerful?
"And why did you try to kill Sasuke?" She then asked.
"I was ordered to kill him.." She responded. Her voice was so soft that the Uchiha almost melted in her voice, but regained his senses when he saw Tsunade's face.
"Who ordered it?"
"Orochimaru." She spoke as though she had no secrets. Her eyes staring at Tsunade with a look that made her feel uneasy.
"Naomi.. Please give me a moment to talk to sasuke."
"..." She turned and walked out of the room, the door shutting behind her. She stood in the hall, crossing her arms as she leaned against the wall."Sasuke, are you aware of what the girl is capable of? Why'd you bring her to the hospital?" She narrowed her eyes questioningly. Sasuke wasn't sure himself honestly. It was just something about her eyes.
"I wouldn't have brought her here if I didn't trust her, besides, won't she be of use to us?" He then asked, which earned a slight look of annoyance from the Hokage.
"She tried to kill you." She then said, staring at him.
"I don't think she intended to do so. She only cut my leg after all." Sasuke stared at her, knowing exactly why that attacked failed. She was about to pass out, which was why he decided to knock her out.
"... Fine. She's in your care then. She makes one wrong move, she's a goner. You're dismissed." She looked away from him and he turned and walked out. Looking to Shizune and Naomi when he walked out. "Come on.." He started walking and the small female followed behind him. While they headed to Sasuke's, he decided to ask her a few things. "So, how old are you?" He looked at her from the corner of his eye, wondering if he should tell her that she was in his care for now. "13.." She responded. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't asking those questions just to hear her voice, but she only responded with one word and it disappointed him a bit. He couldn't figure out why though. Shaking his head, he ignored the thought and just kept walking. Upon reaching his house, he walked in and she followed after him, respectively removing her shoes at the entrance before walking in. 'Well, she has manners.' He thought as he removed his shoes as well and looked to her. "Want some tea?" She nodded. This was going to be a long few weeks, and damn did he feel like a fool for falling for her eyes on the day he met her...
