"I guess the desk. Thats where most of my stuff is." I shrug, feeling drained by the mornings events.

"Cool." He watches me as he walks over to it.

As he opens the first draw he stops, turning back to me

"Come on, I won't bite." He laughs but I don't laugh.

"That's not what you would have said at school." I narrow my eyes and watch his reaction.

"Candy I don't care, our parents have agreed and I'm just doing my part." As he turns my heart drops another ten feet.

He didn't come to be nice, he came only because he had too.

A tear rolls down my face and I watch as he pulls out old photo albums, Christmas cards and drawing books.

"Candy come and help."

"I don't want to. Can't I do it later?" He shakes his head.

"Do you need these?" He holds up the old messy scribbles and I shake my head. "Okay, what about the Christmas cards?" Shaking my head I drag my body over near his.

"Out of the desk, what are you going to take?"

"Um just the photo albums, art stuff and pads of paper. Please be careful with it."

"Yeah, whatever." He mutters something under his breath but I don't catch it.

"I can pack by my self you know." Being the arrogant boy that he is, he ignores my comment and places my stuff in a pile.

"What bag are you taking?" I shrug.

"Come on Candy, can't you be helpful?"

"You can't come in here and start saying stuff like that!" I yell sudennly feeling angry at everyone.

"Look I'm just trying to help."

"I don't want your help, I don't need it! And I'm not moving!" I yell standing up.

I move towards the door,  grabbing my phone and the blue jumper my aunt gave me.

"Candy where are you going?" He asks.

"Downstairs to get a drink." I open the door just as Axel walks past.

"Everything okay, I heard yelling?" I nod pushing past him.

"Candy where are you going?" Axel asks me, as I slip my converses on and move towards the front door.

"Just getting something from the mail box!" I call before stepping out into the fresh air.

Although its the start of summer, today was a rainy day.

I quicken my pace as I pass the mail box, turning down the next street I brake into a slow jog which turns into a full out sprint.

The drizzle hits my skin like daggers and wets my hair, making it stick to my face.

I pass worried looking mothers and business men, but I'm annoyed at everyone and can't stop, I have nothing else.

I come to my destination just as my phone goes off.

It's Axel.

"Hello." I say, slowing my run to a walk.

"Candy what the hell! Where are you? Why are you panting, have you been running?"

"I'm at the mail box." I try, making my voice sweet.

"What the hell, Reed and I are worried and dads annoyed."

"I don't care, just leave me alone." I say, hanging up.

The park is deserted.

I walk over to the playground and sit on one of the swings.

"They don't really care. I'm not moving." I mutter to myself.

After sitting for what seems like hours my phone goes off again, causing my to jump.

"Look just leave me alone." I say, getting angrier.

"Candy just listen." Its Reed. "Please, I've packed everything you need, your dad decided to make you move today."

"WHAT!" I yell, almost throwing my phone.

"Please just tell me where you are and I'll come pick you up, its raining pretty hard now so you're going to get sick."

"WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE!" I yell, standing up again.

"Please just tell me where you are."

I'm starting to get cold now and my hands have gone blue, the rain hits like cold daggers and for once I listen.

"I'm so cold Reed." I mutter, trying to walk but everything it cold and not working.

"Candy just stay on the pohone and tell me where you are." He says, panic lacing its way through his tone.

"Reed I can't move, I'm hurting."

"Candy." He calls, but I pull away.

"Candy!" He yells.

"Candy, babe!" I smile, putting it back to my head I whisper park and then hang up.

As I run through the park I notice something.

I'm going crazy.

The cold is making me crazy and I can't think straight.

I made my self run a little while ago but I not getting far.

I run towards the gates that I came in and stop when I see a sleek black car pull in.

I jump behind a bush and wait.

Reed runs past in all his glory and starts calling my name.

He runs past me and I take this as an opotunity to escape.

I run out of the gate but scream as someone grabs me from behind.

"Candy calm down." Reed says, trying to control my flailing arms and legs.

"Let go! I won't go!" I scream, trying to pull away.

"Stop acting like a child! Please just stop." He says, but I push away from him and rum towards the road.

"Candy! You're sick just stop and we can get warm." He grabs me again and this time I don't struggle.

"Help me to the car." I mumble, feeling very light headed all of a sudden.

"Candy you need to stay with me." I nod but feel my eyes getting heavier.

"You're in the car now, just don't go to sleep."

I feel something warm next to me and snuggle into it, without realizing its an arm.

"Candy are you awake?"

"Yes Reed."

"Okay good, do we need to take you to the hospital?"

"No Reed."

"Candy I'll take you to mine, no ones home and its closer.

"Okay, babe." I smile.
