Our hero of this story crouches upon the corner of an apartment building, appearing to act as a gargoyle. "This world would be more peaceful without piece of shit scum like you" he says as he peers off the corner of the building. Behind him, tied and gagged, lied a kid no older than 18, crying and trying to break free of his restraints. The hero stands straight up now on the edge of the building, any closer and he could fall, but he keeps perfect balance. He seemed to have no fear inside him. The kid on the ground was terrified, though he was gagged, you could tell he was begging to be let go. There was but just a single light to illuminate to roof. The man stepped back from the edge and into the light fully revealing his body. He wore a long black hooded poncho like shirt, the hood pulled down just above his eyes, he wore a black half mask resembling the jawbone of a human skull. He had a deep and gravelly voice, but somehow his words were smooth, and he spoke slowly and softly. "Do you understand what you've done to deserve this?" He spoke as he crouched next to the kid. He snatched the balled up sock out of his mouth. The kid gasped and was breathing heavily, his skin so pale as if he just gazed upon the devil himself. "Do you know who I am?" The man asked. The kid just nodded quickly still scared speechless. His nose was covered in dried blood and his eye was swollen. His hands were tied to his feet. The man grabbed him by the ropes and carried him to the edge. "Maybe you don't know all about me. If you are full of sin, you can not hide from me." His voice seemed to become darker, more filled with anger. The kid screamed and cried. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" The kid cried, over, and over, and over. "You find it funny, to drop animals from rooftops and watch them hit the ground?" His voice now nothing but rage. The kid shook his head screaming "No! No! No! I'm so sorry! I'll never do anything bad again!" Though the man's face was hidden, you could sense that grin, that grin that says you don't care, that grin that means something bad is about to happen. He chuckled a little, and it slowly built up to full blown laughing. This caused him to loosen his grip on the kid as he was holding him over the edge. The kid screamed. He tightened his grip and suddenly went silent, he looked dead into his eyes and said "I'm not the one you need to tell that to." His eyes turned a bright red as he stared into the kid's eyes and the kid suddenly was washed over with fear as he began to scream, not able to rip his sight from the mans eyes. He was showing to the kid his worst fear. As he did this, he let go of the kid and dropped him. Dropped him to his death. The kid's screams echoed throughout the city giving sign the sin eater had claimed another victim. "May the devil claim you." He said as he walked away from the now crime scene.
