She looked out the filthy glass of the vehicle, the haunting melody echoing in her ears. The soft midnight fabric wrapped loosely around her shoulders shielding her from the chill in the damp air. She watched as liquid mirrors fell in droplets from the nearly nonexistent gloom called the sky. Fog surrounded both the car and her mind as the seemingly endless trip dragged on, forcing her further into the depths of her mind in a sea of darkness. She managed a smile to her baby brother, knowing that's all he sees. What her family sees as an angry, rebellious teen is actually a broken, tired doll, begging to be fixed.
