Years have passed since they had first arrived at the facility. Most of them had already developed and trained their powers. As predicted Lilith, Kyle, and Marcus were the most powerful. However, with Kyle sectioned away from the rest of the subjects, Lilith and Marcus naturally took charge. Everyone trusted and depended on them. And they all quickly realized what kind of hell they were stuck in. Unbearable pain was dealt to each subject to activate their dormant genes. It was easiest to awaken these genes in kids and teens, which is why the camp was made. But everyone wanted out of it.
Lilith remembered that there were supposed to be three subjects destined to be the most powerful. She was one of them. Marcus was the other. And yet, there was no sign of the third. Then Christie overheard some guards talking about a powerful subject nearly escaping on his own. That's when Marcus and Lilith formed their plan.
Marcus was taken out of his cell abruptly. That's how it always is. He was taken to be trained again. However, he already knew what he had to do. As he was summoning and launching giant boulders as part of his training, he hid a few small rocks in his shoe. His training ended and they tranquilized and put the restricting collar back on him. Marcus started hitting the collar with the rocks he collected. After hours of repetitively jabbing the collar, it sparked. Suddenly Marcus could feel the earth all around him. His collar was broken. He could now use his powers freely.
They were now in phase two. Marcus was using his powers to sense the entire facility. Searching. There were five rooms that contained only one person. Any of these could be holding the third subject, but he couldn't risk it. He kept scanning the facility for the next few days. He narrows it down to two rooms. But then he felt multiple guards marching towards one of the two rooms. They took whoever was in there to the training area. Gotcha.
Kyle woke up in his room. This was the process they put him through. Tranquilized in his cell, woken up in the training room, "trained" for hours, tranquilized in the training area, woken up in his cell. But then he noticed something in the corner. A napkin. A napkin with writing on it. And a small, broken pencil.
"Are you another subject"
"Yep, I'm one of their guinea pigs," he replied.
The moment he put the broken pencil down, the napkin and pencil were absorbed into the ground. Five minutes later, the note and pencil returned.
"You're the one who keeps trying to escape, right?
"Yea, why?"
"We need your help. We're planning a mass escape."
"Alright, what do you need me to do?"
"What's your power?"
"I can create machines and alter technology."
"Perfect! You need to get to our area and release all our cells"
"Okay. Except I can't exactly walk right out of my cell"
"Well... What do you need?"
"Preferably? A weapon."
"Alright. We'll begin right after sunset."
"I can't see any sunlight from here."
"Just be ready for when a stone spear pops out of the ground."
Ten guards march towards Kyle's cell and assume battle positions. This was their daily
order. Kyle was to be taken to training. He constantly tries escaping, so they perfected their method of escorting him out of his cell. They, however, were not expecting a spear to immediately impale the one guard with the tranquilizer.
