12 Years Later
Naina's Pov
I'm finally 18 years old, meaning I'm an adult now, today is going to be my first day at shoot for my first film. Ashdeep are very excited about it, I told them after the award show that I wanted to be an actress now, they were confused at first, but then I told them I wanted to follow in thier footsteps. I still haven't found my Sameer yet.
Naina comes running downstairs with her headphones on listening to music. Ashi removes them from her since she is not listening.
Naina: Kya hai maa muhjhe music sunna hai? Seriously I can look after myself now?
Randeep: Naina your still our baby for us, let's drop you off to the sets now?
Naina: Come on dad I can drive now, can't I go by myself now? Aap dono kabhi nahi badlenghe. Now I understand where this posssiveness is coming from? Alright fine, but I'm coming back by myself.
They all sit down in the car, and Naina is driving towards the sets. She starts to whistle to pass time whilst her parents are at the back cuddling with one another. Once she arrives, she stops the car, and they all get out. This is a new journey for Naina, and it is a complete circle for Ashdeep. The director shakes her hand, and they are allowed inside. She steps inside her vanity van, and gets changed into her outfit. She is learning her lines whilst her hair and makeup are being done.
Naina: I wonder how the hero looks like.
She steps outside with the script against her face, she does not realise a young man is coming in front of her, she bumps into him, and he catches her in his arms.
Sameer: Tum apne ankho khol sakte ho?
Naina opens her eyes, and sees the guy who has always been in her dreams. They both get lost into one another, and for Naina it's love at first sight. He makes her stand up straight, and asks if she's okay.
Sameer: Tum teek hona, tumhe chot toh nahi lagi hai?
Naina: Muhjhe chot nahi lagi hai, tumne muhjhe bachaliya, waise tumhara naam kya hai?
Sameer: Sameer Maheswari. Aur tumhara naam Naina Rai hai? The most iconic couple Ashdeep's daughter. It's really nice to meet you.
Naina: Same here Sameer, your really very caring?
Sameer: Aww thank you, hona parta hai tumhare liye? Ab challo warna director bolenghe hum kaha hai?
They start talking along the way, and the director is surprised that they have bonded very quickly. Ashdeep are also shocked that Naina does not gel very quickly, but she did it with him.
Naina: Yeh mere maa aur papa hai. Ashi and Randeep Rai, aur yeh mera co-star Sameer Maheswari.
Ashi: Woah that is a coincidence. Sameer aur Naina hamara naam tha show mein, and now we have Samaina standing in front of us?
Sameer: Naina yeh Samaina kaun hai?
Randeep: Tum dono ka ship name Samaina.
Sameer: Oh my god my role models are standing in front of me it's such an honour to meet you both.
Ashi: Wow even after so many years we still have Ashdeep fans.
Naina is sat down rehearsing her lines, she isn't interested in the conversation, but is more focused about her career. Randeep sees himself in Naina of how he used to be in the earlier days of his career.
Ashi: We should get going now. Sameer will you look after Naina for us?
Sameer: Of course don't worry about it.
Naina hugs her parents, and they leave from there. He sits down next to her, and understands how her parents are very protective over her.
Sameer: Don't worry I understand how you feel, all parents are like this.
Naina: It's just that I love them very much, but I need my space as well, but I don't want to upset them.
Sameer: I'm sure they will understand, you just need to tell them calmly how you feel.
Naina: Maybe your right, thanks Sameer, can we be friends?
Sameer: I was dying to ask that question? So from today Naina Rai and Sameer Maheswari are friends, let's exchange numbers.
After they do that, shooting starts for them. A couple of hours later pack up is announced. Naina has to control her feelings, since it is the first day. She is about to leave, when Sameer taps her on the shoulder.
Sameer: Just remember what I told you, and the director loved us together. Remember to be calm, and if it works ring or text me.
Naina: For sure I will do that, bye Sameer.
Sameer: Bye Maina, that's your new nickname.
Naina: I adore it very much.
Naina gets into her car, and arrives at home. Her parents are waiting to have dinner together, she sits down, and they start to eat.
Randeep: How was your first day of shooting?.
Naina: It was amazing, I loved it a lot. Excuse me I will be back soon.
Naina walks towards her room, closes the door and begins to cry. Ashdeep know that there is something wrong with her. They knock on the door, and hear her weeping.
Ashi: Naina please open the door, we are getting worried about you.
Naina: Please just leave me alone for some time.
Randeep: Okay dear, when you feel better come and talk to us.
After an hour, Naina comes out of her room, and runs to hug her parents, she understands that she should share her problems with them before it's too late.
Ashi: Kya huwa hai Princess, you can share anything with us?
Naina: I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that. But remember when I was small I gave you the space to carry on with your dreams, will you both do the same for me, and I promise when I come home it will only be family time?
Randeep: Naina of course we understand it was the same for your mom as well, Nani was very protective as well, we just don't want to lose you as you just entered the industry, and it can be very harsh, that's all we want to do, and besides you've done so much for us in the past.
Naina: That's because mein aap dono say bahaut pyaar karti hoon.
Ashdeep: We love you too
