When they aproached the side of the building Eva was hot and out of breath, but she didn't care.

The boy lay a few feet infront of her, his blood spilled onto the ground.

Soon he was laying limply in her arms, his straight black hair plastered to his face with sweat. His hair swept to the side just above his closed eyes.

The wound was in his side bleeding fast. Eva tugged off her jacket and pressed it against the wound.

His eyes fluttered open lightly "Whys Y'r Hair Blue?" He slurred.

"I have highlights" she whispered "Just rest we will get help"

His eyes fluttered shut and he groaned as she took him gently in her arms.

"How is he? Why does he have black paint on his face?" Max asked

"Thats not the point!!" We need to get him to the institute fast!!" He let out a weak whimper as she quickened her pace.

"Is he concous?" Max asked walking beside her

"Just barly" He gasped attempting to pick up his head but instead fell weakly against her chest.

Seconds later a vampire came out of the shadows, Fangs bared. His badly dyed black hair was showing many strands of blonde in the moonlight.

"Jacob! Stop folling around!" She growled with as much force was a werewolf barking to his pack members.

"Well sorry!" He smelled good!!!" Jabod sniffed the air taking a short pace behind them with almost no effort and spiderlike grace. Curse Vampires for being so Devilishly handsome. She thought rolling her eyes.

"Would you like me to take him off your hands? I'm quicker and faster" He reasoned reaching for the boy licking his fangs.

"Jake, no. The offer was apreciated though we arnt far from the institute" She answered hastly, for fear of getting into an arguement with a boy who on average didnt look like muscley type but more of the popular basketball player  everyone wnated. Not one normally to pick fights. with his vampire strength and speed he could easly best any basketball player or football player in even a major league.

"Fine, have it your way miss attitude!" He made a face a he dissapeared, back into the shadows.

"You should have said yes" Max mumbled stareing at the spot he last stood.

"I dont want to risk the boy turning into a vampire happy meal" Eva explained, "Plus were only two blocks away".

"Eva... The blocks in New York are huge!! " Max argued hs eyes wide with consern.

"Stop argueing theres no time! New pick up your pace!" She ordered almost jogging down the block.

"Sometimes I regret ever agreeing to accompany you on hunts" He mumbled with a pout.

"What was that?" Eva said with a smirk.

"Nothing! I said Nothing!" He said quickly adding :Even though its true"

"I heard that!" She glared still smirking

"Ugh! I give up!" He threw his hands up in mocked defeat.

Eva lighted as they approached the big wooden doors of the institute, Just as the boy lost concousness.
