My shining star in the sky,
Shimmering the brightest.
Only someone like you,
Can make my heart feel the lightest.
You are my shining star.
I hope that you stay true,
To the fact that no one,
Will make me feel special like you.
The thing about shining stars,
Though they glisten so bright,
There's no guarantee they'll be there,
Each and every night.
I wish upon a star,
To keep my worries at bay,
That though you deserve much better than I,
That you may choose to stay.
