Chapter 20: Happiness

Lisa Pov

After leaving the rooftop, I offer to take Jennie home. I feel guilty about my attitude towards her, so I have to make her feel better. I take her to the mall first before I take her home.

Jungkook has told me many things about Jennie when we were in class. Luckily, he supports us.

He told me that Jennie loves milk-flavor ice cream. This guy knows a lot about Jennie. At least, I don't have to worry because he is not in love with her.

Jennie is sitting at the table while I am going to buy ice cream for her. I place an ice-cream in front of her, and to my surprise, she giggles like a five-year-old kid. Her eyes are glowing like a kid who is waiting for her mother from the market. I am happy that I can make her smile again after crying.

She eats her ice-cream happily. I haven't eaten mine yet because I busy, looking at her swelling eyes. I don't know why my tears are rolling down my face while I look at her. I pity her very much because her family is poor, yet she never complains anything about that even if it were hard for her. At least, she has a warm family, right?  Good parents to be specific.

She looks in my eyes, "Hey, why are you crying?"

I wipe my tears quickly, "No, Anything in my eyes."

"What?" she puts down her ice cream and brushes my eyes slightly.

I grab her hand that is on my eye and cry harder. Fuck!!!!! 
These eyes are embarrassing.

"Lisa, what's wrong? Is that because of me? " she sobs.

"No, it's not like that."

"So, why are you crying?" Jennie asks still sobbing.

I wipe her tears away,  "I am just happy because you are with me. I don't know what I do to deserve you, and I feel like I am a bad girlfriend. I asked you to be my girlfriend yesterday, and today I made you cry. And I-"

She puts her index finger in front of my mouth to cut me off. "It's okay. Forget about it! This is my fault, too. Don't cry, okay? "

I grab her finger and smile. "Let's eat our ice creams. It's starting to melt."

She smiles and continues to eat.

Jennie Pov

After dropping me off in front of my house, she bid me a goodbye and drove to her house. I have never known that she is such a soft person. At school, she seems to be a strong, arrogant, and careless person. Indeed, she is a soft, kind, and respectful person. I walk to my house, eating dinner with my best people in the world, my parents, and reviewing my lessons for school. 

In the morning

Lisa picks me up so early today, wanting to bring me to have breakfast together outside. She says she wants to spend more time with me. I can't refuse because she even tells my mom that she wants to have breakfast with me. This idiot!

We are in her car. She drives her car freely, holding the car wheel, and another hand on my hand.

"You are touchy today," I say, looking outside the window.

"Yes, I am," she answers still focusing on the road.

"Huh? Don't tell me you always like this!"

"No! I just like that with my girlfriend." she smiles.

I roll my eyes.

She squeezes my hand tightly, "I am sincere, Jennie."

I smile. 

After a while, we arrive at a small restaurant near our school. Lisa wants to have breakfast in a fancy restaurant, but she chooses the one that I love. See?!!  This person tries to make me fall head over heal with her.
She says she wants to adapt to my living since we are in a relationship.

This restaurant is small, yet beautiful and spotless. I like it because the food here is delicious, and the price is acceptable. Jungkook and I often come here to eat. I miss him so much since Lisa and I are dating; I barely see and talk to him because I know Lisa doesn't like him. 

"Hey, Jennie. What are you thinking? Let's eat. Our foods are getting cold."

I smile and eat.

Everyone comes here, looking at us. To be honest, I feel a little sad because sometimes I think that Lisa and I couldn't end up together because we are so different. She comes from a wealthy family while I come from a middle-class family. I know she loved me, but I don't want someone to think that I take advantage of her.

She smiles beautifully at me.

Suddenly, I remember our test is coming soon. I am worried about her; I want her to get good grades as well.

"Lisa, our test is coming."

She chokes her food. I immediately take a tissue and give it to her. She wipes her mouth, "I know about it, but I can't do anything, anyways."

"Don't you scared?"

"Hmmm.. Yes but No. I am scared, but I couldn't do anything. I just wish that I would pass it."

"Let's help you. I will help you through the final exam. We will pass together, okay?" I smile.

"Okay."

After breakfast, we intertwin our hands and walk to our class. Jisoo and Rośe look at Lisa with a smirk on their faces. Suddenly, the teacher comes in, making all the students stand up. After teaching for an hour, she calls Lisa to meet her.

15 minutes have passed, I don't know why Lisa comes back with a sad expression, but I remain calm until the break time.

"Lisa, What was going on between you and our teacher?"

She signs.

I grab her hand,  "You know, you can always trust me. I am your girlfriend, remember?"

She gives me a sad smile, "The teacher told me to pay attention in class since I got a bad score on my quiz. She even told me that I wouldn't pass the final exam if I didn't pay attention in class again."

I smile at her, "I will help you, baby."

She hugs me, "Really?"

Panggggggg

"What's going on, Jisoo?" she asks as Jisoo smacks her head.

"You idiot! Everyone looks at us. Don't you feel ashamed?"

"No, she is my girlfriend. I don't care. If you are jealous, hug your chipmunk!" Lisa says looking at Jisoo, making the latter blush hard. 

"Since, Lisa finds your real happiness now. I will pay for lunch, okay?" she claims happily.

Lisa nods at me, and we decide to have lunch together for the four of us.
