Belle's POV

I woke up to someone calling my name. They had a deep voice, but it was soothing and not hoarse.

"Belle come on, wake up or we're going to be late."

Wait, I knew that voice. I opened my eyes to see Ross standing over me, looking at me weirdly.

"From what I know, girls have frizzier hair in the morning. Yours actually looks straighter. It's just totally weirding me out now. Anyway, I'm going to go get some breakfast, you get ready and meet me at the cafeteria in an hour okay?"

I just nodded. I had forgotten to set my alarm, and had obviously woken up after everyone else. As soon as Ross left the room, I got out of bed and went into the bathroom. I turned on the water in the shower, and just stood there allowing my bones to relax.

"Awww look sleeping beauty woke up. God that girl is so unorganized and messy, and look in her cupboard; she hardly has anything at all."

Oh didn't I just hate Cindy, she was more annoying than Peter. I got out of the shower and quickly wore on my clothes; making sure my top wasn't sticking to my body at all. Then I carefully brushed my teeth, making sure I didn't get toothpaste on my uniform. As soon as I was done I brushed my hair and set it how it was the day before.

I walked back into the room and came eye to eye with Cindy. As I smiled, she gave me a death stare. Seriously, what did I do to deserve that? I ignored the stare and continued stuffing my books into my bag, oblivious to the fact that Peter was in the room as well.

"Boo!"

SMACK! My hand met with someone's face before I even realised what was happening.

"Dude, can't you just take a joke? God, every time I come close to you, you're breaking my nose. Remind me never to talk to you again!"

I watched him as he walked off. Cindy just looked at me and smirked before following him out of the room. I guess the second day started off nicely as well. I remembered then that I had to print out my English homework and quickly ran to the library. Our English teacher, Mr. Robins, had asked us to introduce ourselves to the class, but in a way that made us unique.

After printing, I walked over to the cafeteria where Ross was waiting for me with a cup of tea in one hand and a doughnut with chocolate icing in the other.

"Yummy that looks delicious. Where'd you get it? I want one too."

"It is for you dummy. Seriously, are you sure you weren't blonde before? Jokes jokes don't get angry at me now."

He handed over the tea and doughnut as he cracked up laughing at something behind me.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing big, just looks like Peter had some random chick bump into him, spilling his tea all over him. I guess you're not clumsy, he's just unlucky."

I turned around to see a very beautiful girl apologizing to Peter for having him spill his tea over himself. Unlike how he had treated me, he smiled at her and obviously told her it was alright. How unfair! He treated me like I did it on purpose, but she could just walk away without even helping him clean himself up. Just great.

I turned around and started walking to my English class. Ross followed me, realising my mood, and letting me cool down before he decided whether he should ask me what's wrong or not.

Peters POV

I was late to class due to some chick bumping into me and causing me to spill my tea all over me. It brought up a sense of déjà-vu from the day before, when Belle had bumped into me, and for some reason I found that funny.

"Okay class, today, we're going to present our speeches on ourselves. I'm going to be picking people randomly, and we've got a double lesson so let us use it wisely. First I'd like Jessica to go."

I zoned out completely, falling asleep during most of the presentations.

"Okay Belle, it's your turn now."

I looked up instantly. She looked shy, hiding her face before gathering up her courage and walking to the front of the class.

"Well first I'd like to say hello. My names Belle White and I'm here on scholarship unlike the rest of you."

She paused for a moment there looking around the class. I immediately looked down when our eyes met, remembering how I thought she had been stuck up. Now I realised that she had only been irritated because I had been acting stuck up.

"I'm most probably even different as a person. For instance, all of you look beautiful or handsome. The girls carry their uniforms like they were born with them on, and they do their hair like it's simple and easy. I'm not like that. I wear baggy clothes, and well I don't even own anything got to do with hair except for a few hair ties and a hairbrush. I also don't own any make up, not even the simple lip gloss every girl in this class is wearing. But this isn't because I can't afford these things, no, it's because I've come to this school after working day and night, achieving the highest marks possible. Now, I can't give it all away just to look good for this class."

Everyone was listening carefully as she spoke. I had never realised how beautiful her voice was, I hadn't even paid any attention to what her voice sounded like. I'd been too busy acting like a jerk to her.

"Again, I'm different to everyone here in personality as well. I don't act nice all the time, I admit I've got a temper and mood swings as well. I speak before thinking, I'm honest in what I've got to say, I won't act polite either. Maybe it's because I believe people should accept us how we are, and not the way they believe we should be. Or maybe it's because I've been brought up in a family that's always pushed me to be polite, and now that they're not around I'm acting out. You people can judge me however you want. Thing is, if anyone here wants to be my friend or talk to me, they have to accept me how I am. Thank you for listening."

The class actually started applauding her like crazy. I just stared at her wide eyed. She wasn't afraid to admit she was different, she really was unique. I wish I had the courage she did.

Wow, another day finished, and I was still not used to college the least bit. I had so much work to do, but instead, I signed onto the school chat site again. Snow was on. I decided I would talk to her and apologize.

WB:

Hey snow, wassup?

CG:

Hi... I thought we decided we shouldn't talk.

WB:

Yeah, actually, that's what I wanted to talk about. Sorry for being a jerk yesterday, it's just, I had a bad day.

CG:

Oh really? Because I'm sure everyone else in this here damn school had a bad day as well. Doesn't mean you can treat someone so rudely.

WB:

Whoa, calm down. If you don't want to talk to me, just don't okay? God, you girls are drama queens.

CG:

You know what Bob, you're an idiot. At least after apologizing wait a day or two before becoming enemies with that same person again. Bye.

WB:

Whatever. Bye.

What an idiot! Not her, me. She was right. It looked like I just apologized so I could break her heart again. But why did I even care about her? She was some random, someone I didn't even know. Then again, I was afraid when I signed in tomorrow night, she wouldn't be online. And that was starting to scare me.
