MY PLEA FOR LIFE
You feel as though,
Your spirit has died,
You've cried
You've tried
And you don't know what to do.
Do you try to find your spark?
See if it's hiding in the dark?
Or do you
Just sit and stew?
Let the feeling overtake you
Just like the flu
Which is waiting to pounce on you.
Maybe it will run its course
And you can get back on your horse.
Or maybe it won't run its course
And you will have to use the force
Even though you don't want to.
You wish you knew
What to do
But truly you don't have a clue,
You are no slew
So you can't change course
Even if you want to.
So again what do you do?
Do you run as fast as the lion inside?
Just to get away
Or do you just lie
And cry?
Say goodbye
To you, yourself and I
And die.
But Life is climbing a mountain
At times it will be hard
And you will get scarred
But in the end it's worth it.
So don't quit
Just because you have fallen
Everybody can rise
And realize
That even when the skies are grey
And you are starting to fray
There is always a better day.
So just stay
Don't go away
Or leave me here,
Don't lead me astray,
Because I need you
And I love you
So please stay
Stay with me.
This is my plea
To make you stay forever
