‘THE YEAR WAS 2672, THE PLANETS HAD ALIGNED ALMOST PERFECTLY, EXCEPT FOR THE WAR BETWEEN SPECTREIANS, AND THE PEOPLE OF EARTH, WHEN MY FATHER HAD SENT THE ZORGONIANS OUT TO DESTROY MY HOME..’
“General, send the Zorgonians out to destroy and kill all Earth beings. But make sure that my daughter returns unharmed.”
“Yes, Commander NovaStar.”
MEANWHILE IN ANOTHER PART OF THE GALAXY...
“Captain Darkmatter, the Zorgonians are on their way to destroy the planet Earth, you and Officer Equinox are the only ones who can put a stop to it.”
“Roger that, Commander WhiteStar. Aphelion, get to the Launching Pods.”
“Yes, sir.”
‘Aphelion Equinox, the future Commander of the I.G.S. and the second-in-command of Captain Dunkirk Darkmatter. I was 8 years old when my father had issued the attack of the Zorgonian fleet.’
“Captain, the Zorgonians are after that child!” Aphelion said, pointing toward me
“Great Galaxies, we need to get her to safety, Officer Equinox.” Dunkirk said
Meanwhile on the 14th Moon in the Hive Moon Galaxy, an eight year old child had been watching from the HoloVision..
“Come on, Dad. I know you can kick some Zorgonian asteroid.”
“Jet Saros Darkmatter, watch your language.”
“Sorry, Mom. I just got a little overexcited.”
“You can be as excited without the potty-mouth, young man.”
‘Jet Darkmatter, the son of Dunkirk and Nebulana Darkmatter, and my future partner. He had worshipped and looked up to his father and dreamt of a place in the I.G.S.’
“Where did you ever learn to talk like that?” Nebulana asked
“Dad may have said it about once.. or twice..” Jet said, chuckling nervously while kicking the dust around
“Mom, look. The Zorgonians are after that girl!” Jet said, pointing at the screen
“No need to worry, Jet. Your father and Officer Aphelion will make sure she’s okay.” Nebulana said, placing her hands on her young son’s shoulderblades
“Target acquired; Venus Andromeda NovaStar is to be apprehended and taken to the Commander, and she is not to be harmed in any way.” The Zorgonian leader said
“But which one is the Commander’s daughter?”
“The only child with shiny violet iridescent skin, you half-wit!” The Zorgonian leader said, slapping the second Zorgonian’s head so hard that it repeatedly spun around rapidly
“Dad, look out!” Jet yelled, standing in front of the HoloVision
“There she is! Grab her!” The Zorgonian leader said
‘I gasp, pushing past the crowd, the Zorgonians close on my trail. I then unleash a power I never knew I had; I had phased through solid brick and into a building, I look at my hands, seeing a light purple glow around them. I then hide underneath a table alone and frightened in a locked room.’
“Aphelion, where did she go?” Dunkirk asked
“I didn’t see her. She must have gotten lost in the crowd.” Aphelion said
“Or she phased through that building in order to escape.” Dunkirk said
“Dunkirk, I got her. It says her name is Venus NovaStar.”
“Daughter of Commander Etherion NovaStar?”
“Affirmative, Captain.”
“Venus, it’s Captain Darkmatter and Lieutenant Equinox.”
“Venus, it’s alright. We aren’t gonna hurt you.”
“Captain Darkmatter, look out!”
“The girl’s in here, sir! She must have tapped into her Spectreian powers.” The second Zorgonian said
“It’s alright, Venus. You’re safe now. Captain Darkmatter and I won’t let anything happen to you.” Aphelion explained, reassuring me
“Venus NovaStar, by order of Commander Etherion, you are ordered to come with us to Spectreia.” The Zorgonian leader hissed
“Dunkirk, get Venus out of here. I’ll take care of these jokers and meet you back at the ship.” Aphelion ordered
“Be careful out there, Aphelion. I know that my son would be devastated if anything happened to you.” Dunkirk said
“He would be more upset if anything happened to you. That boy of yours looks up to you. Go. I’m right behind you.”
‘Dunkirk had scooped me in his arms, running through the doors, out to where my mother awaits worriedly placing me in her arms. I hug her tightly after thanking Captain Darkmatter, he had smiled warmly at me before going back to aid Aphelion. It was at that moment I had been inspired to become an officer of the Interstellar Galactic Syndicate. The Zorgonians had fled Earth empty-handed much to the Commander’s anger and had vowed to destroy Earth and everyone who lived there.’
“He did it, Mom. He saved the girl and the planet.” Jet said, excitedly running toward his mother
“What did I tell you? Your father and Lieutenant Equinox are the best in the I.G.S., Jet.” Nebulana exclaimed
“And one day I’ll be one of the best, too.” Jet said
*MEANWHILE ON THE PLANET SPECTREIA*
“You let them escape?! You and your men had one job! Get Venus and bring her to me unharmed and you have all failed to do so.” Commander Etherion snarled
“My apologies, Commander. It was Darkmatter and Equinox. They are the ones you should be angry with.” The Zorgonian leader proclaimed
“Oh, did they? I will do all in my power to make Darkmatter and Equinox pay for making you fail.”
“Venus, are you alright?”
“I’m fine, Mom. Someday, I want to do what he does.”
*BACK AT THE HIVE MOON GALAXY*
“Time to get ready for bed, Jet. It’s late.” Nebulana said, looking over at her son, fighting hard to stay awake
“Not until Dad.. ...gets back.” Jet yawned sleepily
“Hey, Jet.”
“Dad!” Jet yelled excitedly, running toward his father
“Hey, buddy. I take it you saw our battle with the Zorgonians, huh?” Dunkirk asked, after scooping Jet in his arms
“I would never miss one of your battles, Dad. You’re my hero. And one day I'll be an officer of the Interstellar Galactic Syndicate just like you. And the way you saved that little Spectreian girl, I have never felt more proud to be your son.” Jet said
“Well, Junior Cadet, all I.G.S. officers need proper rest.”
“Good night, Mom.” Jet yawned
“Good night.”
‘I had never wanted anything else in my life than to be an officer of the I.G.S. my father and his men had begun plotting their revenge. Jet and I, two kids from two completely different worlds had the same dream. And we would do anything to accomplish our goal.’
