Donghyuck didn't know what to think when he saw Mark with another guy, talking passionately about rapping and dancing. That stuff was reserved for Donghyuck and him only so why the hell was Mark telling this guy all about it.Donghyuck was always one to get jealous. He didn't have very many people in his life after all, not after the whole accident with Jaemin. The accident was brutal in complete honesty, all the people Donghyuck thought were his friends just turned on him when him and Jaemin started fighting. Everyone except Mark. That's why Mark is so precious to him.
"Mark, are you ready to go?" Donghyuck asked softly, waiting for a moment where it was normal for him to stop the conversation.
"I'm actually going to go with Yukhei tonight if that's okay with you." Mark said, motioning to the taller male in front of him who waved but Donghyuck could see the slight glare in his eyes.
"Um, yeah, sure." Donghyuck said, feeling his heart crack at the reality of Mark forgetting what today is.
"I'll see you tomorrow then?" Mark asked, looking at Donghyuck who nodded.
Tomorrow...
but tomorrow turned into days and days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months.
Donghyuck was finally, truly alone now. His dad out on business trips and his mom being too busy at her restaurant to properly care for him.
Donghyuck sighed, his finger tracing the designs on his blanket Jeno gave to him for his 13th birthday.
He never liked to think about his past friends, he let them all down and annoyed them, one by one.
He assumed Mark got tired of him too.
Donghyuck wasn't blind, he knew Mark only stayed around because he felt that he had too. He saw how much happier he was with Yukhei and all of their old friends.
It was heartbreaking but Donghyuck felt like he didn't have one anymore. It crumbled into dust the day he got a call from Mark saying he had to cancel once again, on Donghyuck's birthday saying that Yukhei invited him to go swimming. He didn't even get a text saying happy birthday.
Donghyuck heaved a sigh, walking quietly into the library, picking a book off the shelf and sitting down in one of the beanbag chairs that was tucked into one of the corners.
It was his favorite place and it seemed that everyone else in here knew it too.
"Jeno, I don't see the point in this." Don't Hyuck froze, hearing the familiar voice and name.
"I know what happened between you two sucked but have you seen how lonely he looks?!" Jeno quietly argued back.
"I don't care how lonely he looks, he deserves it, he put all of us through hell and I'm just glad Mark finally came to he senses about him."
Donghyuck frowned, closing his book and deciding school wasn't the best place to be right now.
"Jaemin! God, I wish you knew how to read expressions better or even actions! Mark was the last person Donghyuck had and you're celebrating over that?!"
Donghyuck bit his lip, sliding the book back onto the shelf before walking away, not needing to hear anything else.
By the time Donghyuck got home, he was tired, both mentally and physically. After hearing Jaemin's and Jeno's conversation, he just realized that even if some care a little bit, the others will always hate him.

The next day at school was going to be Donghyuck's last he decided. He was tried of being alone and having no one to talk to.
