I watched as the clear liquid splashed into the rusted yellow watering can, escaping the shiny silver faucet, small droplets bouncing through the air trying to find their way to a stable surface. Feet stood on the icy white tiles in the dainty kitchen, arranged in the back end of my small hometown apartment. The morning light peaking through gaps of the drawn white blinds, just piercing small places of the stark white walls. Still half asleep I wander to the wooden balcony, covered with draped plants and hanging pots. A small wooden seat and table alongside the brick wall, collecting the first warmth of the day. Clouds flickering across the sky as the grey white turns to blue sky. The water trickling out of the can, filling the soil in each plant, bringing it life. One by one, each plant being filled with life, each getting happier. A cool breeze sweeping over the warm air, sending a small chill over my body. My tired eyes gazing upon the horizon, the birds and small houses. Each plant now brought to life again, my feet find themselves dragging along the wood to the door, stepping back in. Light filled the apartment, bouncing off every inch of the white wall, blinds now open. Good morning.
