Weird kids (Ch. 1)

Hey guys! So thank you for clicking on this book! I just thought first of all if full you in in the cast. If you look at the second picture I have attached to this book, you'll see I have the names of the people.

Ok so

Jordan Eckes as Jordan Ester

Tay Jardine as Tay Gaskarth (sister of Alex Gaskarth)

Jenna Mcdougall as Kenadee Carlile (sister of Austin Carlile)

Sydney sierota as Copeland Gaskarth

Hannah snowdon as Dylan Syke

And Cassadee Pope as Freya Small (she is not in the band, but helps manage)

And their band is called Weird kids. Okay enjoy! Ily all!

*Tays POV*

"So you guys were invited go go back on warped tour again!" The interviewer said. "How does that feel?"

Jordan got a warm smile on his face. "We can't wait! We are so excited."

"And not only do you have that to look forward to, but you also have the AP music awards to look forward to!"

Kenadee grabbed the mic. "We're so excited for that! We're so honored to be in the same award show as so many great bands like All Time Low, Pierce the Veil, Bring Me The Horizon, And so many more."

"Now I was scrolling through stuff, stalking
You guys."

We all burst out laughing and the lady interviewing us blushed and laughed.

"No! Not like that. I'm sorry I made that sound super weird.... What I meant to say was that I was just digging up some info to ask you guys, and I saw in just a short week, you guys are going
To the TCAs and you're performing.

Everyone was silent, so this time I took the mic. I always tried to tie the group together, just incase things were on the verge of getting messy. "Yeah! that was a bit unexpected...., usually more punk and the heavier side of music, like us, don't get invited to these sort of things.... But we were so happy we got to do this. It's a great chance to do what we love and make people happy."

"And also I was hearing of some possible drama between you guys and another band." The lady glanced between all of us. "R5."

The mood in the air changed from light and happy, to irritation and anger. Copeland hesitantly picked up the mic. "Yeah.... UHM.... We uh.... We don't hate the boys.... And girl.... But I mean we absolutely hate pop so we need not really got into their band."

Jordan let out and airy laugh. "That's why it's a bit weird being nominated for the TCAs, but we wish everyone going the best of luck! And for the audience to have fun!"

Subtle subject change. Nice.

" So how did you guys meet? Seeing as how two of you are not from America?"

"Well." I started. "I went to school with Jordan, and we were always good friends. I could sing and he could play guitar so we taught each other how to do both. Then at a talent show, Copeland was playing bass for a different band. They shortly broke up and we kidnapped her." I hesitate before adding. "Not literally.... Senior year we all went to warped and met a weird British girl, and she's Dylan. We found out she can sing and is on keyboard. we convinced her
To move to America and got her. But at warped we also met Kenadee who's Australian, and just recently moved. After a couple months we found out she's a beyond crazy drummer and we convinced her to join us. And that's how we were formed."

"That's so cool! So another rumour I would like to clear up, relationships! Who is single and who isn't?"

My eyes wandered over to Jordan and I found his eyes were already locked onto mine. I blushed and glanced down to my hands, trying to keep the blush and smile off my face.

"Tay?" The lady called.

My head snapped up. "What.... Oh! Sorry." I nervously laughed. "I guess I'm going first. Okay well I'm single as a dollar bill."

This collected some laughs from my band mates and the rest of them listed off they were single till it came to Kenadee who blushed.

"No.... I have a wonderful
Boyfriend named Justin."

We all awwwwd. The interviewer found my eyes and smiled. "So you really are single?"

"Uh yeah."

"I saw rumours going around of maybe you and Riker having a thing." She said, winking.

It took all my will power not to throw up. But Joran on the other hand, had no issue vocalizing his issues with that.

"Gross! She's waaaaay too good for Riker. He wouldn't even have a chance."

"Ohhhh is someone a bit jealous?"

His face turned a bright red and he was at a loss for words. Luckily ,Freya, our manager, tapped the glass, signaling it was our time to go.

"Alright! Thank you so much for coming in you guys!"

"Thanks for having us!" Dylan said.

"Once again this has been weird kids on 106.7"

We said our goodbyes and then exited the building. We hung outside for a bit, talking to fans, then made our way to the small white van we owned.

"I can't believe another interviewer brought up R5." Cameron hissed. "Don't they get we hate them and DONT wanna talk about them?"

I sighed. "Guys, as much as I don't like them, maybe we should stop causing drama and fights with them. It's brining attention to us and them in a way none of us want."

Copeland scowled. "We don't even start half the shit that happens!"

"Who even came came up with their name?" Dylan questioned. "R5.... Because they're all R names and they have 5 people in the band. Woooooow. How cool and creative."

"What a dumb name." I scowled, shaking my head.

*Rikers POV*

"Ross! Stop pressing buttons, and settle on a channel, Jesus." Don't get me wrong, I love my little brother, but his obsessive channel flipping can be a little annoying.

He finally settled on some random channel and I pulled out my phone and starting tweeting fans, smiling at how happy they got.

"Gross! She's waaaaay too good for Riker. He wouldn't even have a chance." I heard a voice call.

"Oh shit...." Rocky said, walking in. "Who said that?"

"Tay.... From Weird Kids." Ross said, in disbelief.

My fist clenched tight around my phone and I felt an angry blush come to my face. "What."

Ross nodded his head. "They're on tv.... And yeah."

Rocky shook his head. "Why are they on tv?"

Ross shrugged. "Interview?"

"Who would wanna interview them? I feel so bad for that poor lady." I snickered.

"What a dumb name. Weird kids? We don't need a reminder you're weird." Ross said, rolling his eyes.

Rocky jumped over the couch and landed next to me. "So are you gonna let her get away with that?"

I opened up twitter again, preparing to type. "Oh no Im not."
