Chapter 8

Corbyns POV

I was stalling when I was on the phone, I was trying to get her to stay on the call Long enough to get to her house.

I was driving really fast , going through red lights,ignoring stop signs and driving on sidewalks when cars were in the way.

I got there two minutes after she hung up the call so she probably isn't dead yet... hopefully

When I got to her apartment complex I ran out of the car and into her house I found her in tears and as soon as she saw me she put pills in her mouth.

Me: Thalia no

I grab her,put my hand in her mouth and pull the pills out.

I let go of her and she kisses my cheek then runs out of the apartment,I follow.

I keep running after her and soon we get to a street with a lot of cars driving by.

I'm not completely caught up to her so she runs straight in front of a moving car.

It hits her and she falls right to the ground.

The lady gets out of her car and yells

Lady: somebody call 911

I stand right in front of my best friends body with tear filled eyes and do as the lady says.

911: 911,what's your emergency ?

I try to speak through my sobs

Me: my-my friend, we need-we need an ambulance now

911: where are you?

I tell her where we are

911: an ambulance is on its way,now can you tell me what happened?

The only word I could get out was

Me: car

911: she got hit?

I nod knowing the lady can't see me

911:I'm guessing that's a yes and the ambulance should be there in a minute bye

I hang up and watch as the people take Thalia's body into the ambulance

Why couldn't I have saved her

I get in my car and drive behind the ambulance, as I
drive I call Jonah

Me: Jonah...

Jonah: yeah?

Me: do you still hate Thalia?

Jonah: hate is a strong word

Me: well if you don't like her I have news that's good for you and bad for me

Jonah: go ahead

Me: she killed or tried to kill herself

Jonah: what!?

Me: she called me and said goodbye to me and told me she loves me and then she said to tell you that she's really sorry and that she rlly loves you and then I went to her house and she put pills in her mouth, I pulled them out but then she ran in front of a moving car. Right now I'm driving to the hospital. You don't have to come if you don't like her but I had to tell you.
