New Life

Chapter 1

Ashlee's POV

"Ashlee honey getup you're going to be late!" I hear my mom yell outside my door.

"I am, getting ready now!" I yell back.

I'm wearing a black Twenty One Pilots crop top with some navy blue high waisted jeans and white and purple high tops (at the top), my makeup is just some simple nude colors while my hair is in a half up and half down, in a bun and with a little wave at.

I head down to see my dad sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast.

"Hi dad, I'm off to school I'll see you later, love you!" I yell as I head out.

When I get out I head to my car and head my way to school. As I'm heading into school I run into the schools biggest asshole. Colton Austin. Who is also my moms best friends son.

"Watch where you're walking." He says as I bump into him.

"Whatever." I say as just walk by.

God, he's so dense. Sometimes I wonder how he would be if he had a girlfriend. Not me of course, never in a million years.

I get to my first class, history. I'm not a big fan of this class but it's not my least favorite.

I'll spare you the boring details and all that.

~at lunch~

I get to the lunch room and go find my friends. Crystal, Jamie, and Izzy, which is short for Isabelle, she's actually Colton's twin sister, but she's very sweet.

"Hey Ashlee!" Izzy says as I sit down.

"Hey guys!" I say as I set down, I didn't get anything to eat because I'll get something after school.

We all just talk about stuff and hangout for the rest of lunch.

~after school~

When I get home from school someone knocks on my door. I open it to see, Jill Austin, Izzy and Colton's mom, and my mom's best friend.

It looked like she's been crying.

"Ashlee, I'm so sorry...but you're mom and dad just got in a car accident and they both passed away, and since I'm you're godmother and since your grandparents have also passed I'm gonna be taking you in."

As she's saying is I don't know what to do, I just stand there in shock.

My parents mean everything to me, I love them so much.

"I-I don't know what to s-say, thank you for taking me in, that means a lot, you've been like a second mom to me." I say as I hug her.

"You're welcome, now let's go pack a few things for tonight and a few days then well come back and pack up everything else." She says as she walks in.

We head up to my room and pack some clothes and some blankets.

My life is about to change big time, I'm not sure if I'm ready for this.
