nari was bored out of her mind at work. she stood by the cash register while she watched people from the store window. nari loved bubble tea but did she like working at a bubble tea place? no.
she sighed as she saw people around her age laughing as they had shopping bags in their hands. they must be having fun she thought.
nari was one of the three people working this shift. she was slightly heated because one of her coworkers tricked her into taking their shift.
"why do you look dead?" dohee, her friend and coworker jokingly asked.
"im so mad right now because joon tricked me into taking his shift. also i am so fucking bored right now."
"oh my gosh! language young lady!", one of the only customers in the store who was a middle age woman exclaimed, "i can't believe this generation. let me speak to your manager!"
"um miss? i am the manager." dohee snapped. the truth was dohee was lying. their manager was gone.
"oh well, your employee here was using vile profanity! i can't believe something so disCUSting can come out of such a young girl's mouth!"
dohee rolled her eyes before speaking, "well guess what, my employees here have the right to say what they want, unless they are hurting someone. you can either shut up or leave."
"periodt" nari added.
the middle aged lady scoffed and left.
nari and dohee burst out in laugh ether from the events that just happened.
"bro tell me why she looked like this." dohee showed nari a meme on her phone.

"oh my god, tell me why she looks like her name is karen and has five kids."
"bitch, your mind!" they both laughed again.
at that moment, three teenage boys came in.
nari greeted the customers, "hi! welcome to sharete-" she stopped her sentence and was frozen in shock.
dohee took her hand and waved it in front of nari's face. "um hello? are you dead?"
across the store, out of the three boys that walked in, one of them had a face that looked like the teacher said they had a surprise test today.
"nari?"
"donghyuck?"
"oh y'all know eachother?" dohee commented.
