Chapter 1

Jimin clung tightly to his mother's dress as they strolled into the playground. Scattered about the park were screaming and laughing children, all running around and playing aimlessly. His mother looked down at the tiny boy who had her dress balled up in his fists. She smiled at her adorable son, crouching down to meet his eye level.

"Why don't you go play with the other kids, Minie? Doesn't it look fun?" His mother asked gently. Jimin lowered his eyes to the ground, nudging a rock with his foot.

"Mmm, I'm scared mama! What if there are bullies and they call me chubby?" Jimin mumbled, hating how kids in his kindergarten class would call him chubby like it was a bad thing. A sad yet loving smile played the woman's face, and she softly caressed the small boy's fluffy black hair.

"Baby, I promise nothing bad will happen. I'm sure there are some really nice kids here who would love to be your friend. In fact, a friend of mine said she was bringing her son here today. He's just about your age and is very friendly. He'll protect you from any bullies." His mother said compassionately, ruffling his fluffy hair and making his giggle cutely. 

"Yeonji!" A woman's voice called out. Jimin's mother looked to where the voice came from and saw a beautiful woman with short brown hair waving over to her, her other hand hold one of a small bubbly boy with a boxy smile. Jimin's mother, Yeonji, stood up and waved back at her friend.

"Minseo, I'm glad you could make it," Yeonji said, giving Minseo a tight hug. Once they broke apart, she crouched down and looked at Minseo's son. "Hi Taehyung, how are you sweetie?"

"I'm doing great! I'm so happy mommy took me out today!" The young boy exclaimed, hopping in place.

"I'm glad you came too because I have someone I think you'd like to meet," Yeonji looked down behind her, "say hi Minie."

Very slowly, the angelic little boy peeked shyly from behind his mother, cautiously stepping out into view. Taehyung's eyes widened, the other boy making his heart feel a little fuzzier.

"Now what do we say Minie?" Yeonji asked. Jimin looked down at his build-a-bear looking white shoes and squeaked a tiny 'hi'. "I'm sorry, Jimin's a little shy." Yeonji said, twirling her finger around a lock of his hair. Jimin looked down and pouted his puffy pink lips adorably. Taehyung looked awe struck and let out a big gasp that surprised the others. He bound up to Jimin and cupped the boy's chubby cheeks with his hands.

"T-Taehyung, what are you-" Minseo called out, but was cut off by her son's shocking next words.

"You're so cute!"

Both mothers paused and stared at Taehyung, then looked to Jimin, who was absolutely speechless. Jimin was frozen in place, staring up into Taehyung's sparkling eyes. Taehyung began to squish his cheeks lovingly. Jimin face went pink as Taehyung continued the squish and pinch him as he cooed adoringly.

"Aww, you're like a pouty little ducky! So soft and chubby!" Taehyung praises, ruffling Jimin's hair. Jimin couldn't handle the praise and complements. Being called chubby in such a positive way made his heartbeat quicken. He covered his face with his baby-like hands.

"R-really, you like t-that I'm chubby? Jimin mumbled so quietly, only Taehyung could hear it. Taehyung's eyes softened, and held Jimin's face so gently, it made Jimin's eyes teary.

"I do," He said affirmatively, moving tufts of hair from Jimin's forehead and pecking him softly. Jimin's heart skipped a beat, he felt so unsure of what to do or feel, but all he could feel is his face going red and his heart pounding. And it made him happy.

"Would you like to go play now, Jiminie?" Taehyung asked. Jimin's teary eyes looked up to Taehyung and beamed the most beautiful eye smile Taehyung had ever seen.

"Yes yes!" Jimin shouted happily, bouncing in place like Taehyung had earlier. Taehyung grabbed his chubby little hand and both boys ran giggling into the playground, leaving both their mothers in total shock. Both women looked to their kids, then back to each other, then back to the kids. Yeonji actually teared up like her son had.

"T-that was the most adorable...yet romantic thing I've ever witnessed. I had no idea your son was so openly affectionate and astoundingly caring and gentle, especially for a boy his age." Yeonji said, mouth still agape.

"Honestly, neither did I. Taehyung has a lot of friends at his kindergarten and he's brought some over for play dates. But he's never been that affectionate, and I've never seen his give any of his friends forehead kisses," Minseo paused for a moment, thinking to herself slightly before saying her next words.

"I've never seen a child act so openly gay."

Damn, back at it again with starting new books while others are still incomplete, I love the inconsistency. But anyways I hope you enjoy this new book, it finna be cute but packed with drama so yeah, watch out for that. Happy Reading!
