Goodbyes

Amber and Ryan have been best friends since they were little, but even friends drift apart. Ryan and Amber try to spend time together, but their dreams come in the way. Ryan is still in his band hoping for a gig someday, while Amber wants to become a writer and get away from her fathers "group" Ambers' father has been trying to convince her to become the groups' leader, but Amber wants nothing to do with his group.

"Sweetie come sit down let's talk. We won't have many for long, I am getting old ya know!" Tom says laughing. "Look dad, you reek of alcohol. I'm sorry but, I don't wanna talk right now." Amber tries to leave. "Where do you think your going young lady?" Tom stops Amber from leaving and grabs her. Tom fills with anger of the memory of his wife, and starts hitting her. "You don't leave until I tell you to!" Amber cries and runs upstairs to her room from the living room. She quickly packs her things and jumps out the window.

*Amber texts Ryan* meet me at the river in 5
*Ryan responds* ok, on my way!

Amber holds her backpack close to her waiting for Ryan. "BOO!" Ryan says. "AHHHHH, RYAN YOU SCARED ME!" Amber yells and smacks him. She starts to tear up. Ryan pulls her closer, "what happened? Is it....your dad?" She nods, he pulls her into a tight hug. "Look Ryan, I can't take this anymore, I'm running away to my grandfathers farm in Pelican Town, I'll be safer.... can you please try to take care of my dad? I'll call you to let you know what's going on." Ryan looks at her worriedly, "Amber you don't have to do this, you can move in with me, and I'll protect you-" "I have to go, I can't stay here, I promise I'll check up on you." Amber hugs him one last time. "Fine just be safe.."

Amber and Ryan walk to the bus stop. The white bus comes to a slow hault and Amber gets on. She waves him goodbye and sits down continuing to wave to him until he's out of view.

She falls asleep and wakes in Pelican Town. Amber stumbles out of the bus and collapses on the ground. She's greeted by a tall girl with an ginger hair, and a boy with blonde spiky hair, they both run to Amber and frantically ask her questions. "Oh my goodness, are you okay? Sam, help me carry her to Maru, she'll know what to do, hurry! What's your name honey? Where did you come from?" Amber slowly looks around as her vision blurs. Sam carefully picks her up. He slowly carries her to Maru as Amber loses consciousness. "Hello, Sam what can I do for you? Oh my god what happened. Lay her down here." Maru looks at her for any injuries and sees bruises. "She's fine, but it looks like she might have a fracture from seeing how bad these bruises are."

*Sam calls Sebastian* Dude your never going to believe what just happened
*Sebastian answers annoyed* Sam I'm almost done with this program code, what is it, what do you want?!
*Sam says excitedly* this cute girl fell, pretty much in front of me, and from the looks of it, she looks like the girl you described that was in your dreams, and we took her to the hospital
*Sebastian quickly responses* I'm on my way
