"mark, gosh darn it, get it together!" donghyuck said as he shielded his body away from the pan of cooking oil that mark had turned to an erupting volcano.

"just turn off the gas stove!"

"i am trying!"

donghyuck paced around the kitchen since he couldn't bear to witness his dumb roommate try to stop the frantic oil splatters everywhere after leaving his was-supposed-to-be fried chicken.

"okay okay, i got it!" mark stretched his back after successfully putting the lid on and prevented the whole place from burning down.

"you're such an idiot" donghyuck resurfaced beside mark and put his head on his shoulder to supervise.

"oh wait, the spatu-" the younger stopped his roommate from dipping his hand on the still superheated pan to get the sunken spatula.

"you know what, i think i'm gonna take it from here" donghyuck sighed and push mark softly away from the stove.

"then i'll just watch you" mark smiled sheepishly and sat along the countertable.

the apartment was a whole lot more peaceful when mark just watched donghyuck cook,

the younger just gotta ignore the unnecessary rabid beating of his chest as he prepared breakfast for the two of them.
