Sidney worked on her test quietly, waiting for Bethany. After about a half an hour, Sidney realized what Bethany was doing; she was ditching because of the test. SIdney giggled slightly and raised her hand.

"Yes Sidney?" Ms. Barns asked.

"Can I go check on Bethany? She still hasn't come back and I'm worried," she said, innocence seeping through.

She nodded and Sidney got up, throwing her bag over her shoulder.

"Hey Sid," Trey called but Sidney only rolled her eyes and walked past.

"Sidney please just give me a second," Trey said, taking her hand.

Sidney roughly shoved his hand away and walked out of the classroom, grinning slightly.

"Bethany, you are a genius!" Sidney said giggling and bardging into the bathroom.

"Beth?" she called quietly and walked around the cornor, only to sceam at the top of her lungs.

"You told her she'd never go first," she heard a deep, terrifying voice whisper in her ear.

She spun around to find herself alone in the bathroom. She looked down at the puddle of blood surrounding her best friend. She backed into the bathroom wall, tears running down her face and running her makeup.

"HELP!" she screeched over and over, unable to leave her friend.

Sidney couldn't tear her eyes from her pale and bleeding best friend. She looked so lifeless, so helpless. She also couldn't bring herself to get near; blood was one of her greatest fears.

"Sidney?" she heard a familiar voice and her blood boiled.

"Don't come in here Trey," she snapped but her voice broke.

"I heard you scream for help. I'm coming in Sid," he said and opened the door to see the girl he loved pale and terrified. She was now curled in a ball against the wall, fresh tears still running down her face.

"Sid, what is it? Please tell me," he said and took her face in his hands.

She shakily lifted a manicured finger to point at Bethany. Trey turned his head only to have all the color drain from his face. Bethany's body was cold and limp, with dozens of stab wounds on her back. After she had died, the monster took his anger out on her already dead body.

"Sidney, let's go. C'mon you can't just stare at her. There's nothing you can do to help her," he said and pulled a shaken Sidney to her feet.

Suddenly it dawned on her: It was her fault.

She had said to Bethany that she herself would always come first, and Bethany was destined to be second. When they played Ouija.

*One Day Earlier*

"C'mon!" Bethany said laughing as her and her friends ran down the hallways of their empty school.

"Ms. Shay! Get back here!" Ms. Barns was screaming at her but she and her friends just cackled.

The seniors were having a lock-in bonding moment in the gym, unable to leave. Sidney, being the girl she was, grabbed her friends and threw open the door, running down the halls.

"Savannah! You still have the game?" Madison called back and Savannah held it up.

"It's insulting you'd doubt me Mads," she said and the girls cackled again.

"Sidney in here!" Alyssa screamed and they all piled into the bathroom, covering their mouths to control their ragged breathing and fits of giggles.
