Lila and her friend Mia trudged through the lonely forest, as the chilly air blew around them. They had set out on a walk, but got lost. Night had fallen, and they had no chance of finding their way out in the dark. They were about to settle on spending the night under a tall tree when Mia noticed something big and rectangular, camaflouged under the canopy of darkness. The girls ran over to the object, and upon further inspection realised that it was an old, abandoned cabin. It was falling to pieces, and looked like it was as old as time itself, but the girls decided that it would suit their needs just fine.
CREAK
They opened the door and surveyed the mess on the floor. They settled on the least grimy corner of the cabin, switched off their flashlights and fell into a restless sleep.
Lila woke up when she heard a strange noise. She dismissed the sounds as woodland critters and tried to get back to sleep when she noticed something. Through the window on the other end of the cabin, she saw a silhouette of a person. Lila was so shocked she couldn't utter a syllable. She silently shook Mia awake, and pointed at the figure. Both girls were frozen with fear. Quivering and shaking, they both turned on their flashlights, and braced themselves. They saw a horrible sight. There was no window in the cabin, but there was a mirror. The girls sighed with relief. The sillhouete had been their own reflection the whole time.
