We heard his voice, shocked, painful and filled with fear.
"Elise!"
'What was going on? What happened to Lady Elise? Xander? Please stop this!'
—
"The Hoshidans have broken through! We need reinforcements", I yelled. "I have to get to Lord Xander and aid him as quick as possible!"
"Wait Commander!", a voice interrupted me. It was Laslow, Xander's retainer. "This is a matter between Lord Xander and Lady Corrin, we were ordered to keep the Hoshidans away." "B-but...!", I stuttered. Laslow shook his head. "Please..don't make this situation harder than it already is...", he added and disappeared in the battlefield.
A void of darkness filled my surrounding. Many questions appeared in my mind.
'What will happen to Xander? Is Lady Elise alright? What if Corrin defeats the Crown Prince? What will happen to the kingdom? Why did this all happen? How can I reach the Duelist's Room? Will this whole fighting find an end?'
My worrying questions blew up when one of our former knights attacked me.
Silas...
I successfully parried his attack. I looked at him, fury and anxiety filled his eyes.
'Traitor...he left the army for Corrin. They are childhood friends. He was loyal to Nohr, but now? He has sided with the enemy. Just like her...'
I pulled my horse back. I couldn't bear to see or fight him. People like him or Corrin are a disgrace in my eyes. I needed to help Xander, so I turned Lucifer and rode to the front of the Duelist's Room. It is said that prisoners get their last chance to flee from Nohr's Captivity when they survived. The gates to this 'Arena', I so like to call it, were locked and are resistent to any strong attacks or magic. You either need the key or someone who has the ability to open any doors, despite being locked. The first person who comes in mind is the Outlaw Niles, Prince Leo's retainer. But he wasn't in sight. "Damn..!" I cursed, while slamming against the gate. I was furious, worried, troubled. I didn't care what I was ordered to, I just wanted to see Xander...
"Hah!" A strike from the side hit me and made Lucifer dodge. I gasp, trying not to lose my equilibrium. As I looked up, there were a Hoshidan Ninja with an Oni Savage in front of me. 'Wait, I know them...Kaze and Rinkah!'
They were prisoners, taken captive by King Garon's men. I can slightly remember their release by Corrin one peaceful night. Henceforth I never saw them again, until now. The two were fighting together, I was at disadvantage. In our surprise, an arrow flew across the area, in Rinkah's direction. Kaze blocked the attack, leaving no damage to neither of them. I turned around and spotted Niles. 'Jeez, what took him so long?' "Niles! Where were you when I needed you a few minutes ago?!", I shouted. "Why, excuse me Commander~ I had...business to do, if we keep things simple.", Niles replied while setting up his oh-so-famous-grin. I growled at him. "Damn you nohrian scum! Let us to Lady Corrin!", Rinkah yelled and swung her club. I dodged her attack. "Niles! Go and open the gates! I will take care of these two!", I ordered him, while striking back. Usually I shouldn't command the royal's retainers around, but this time, it's about our Crown Prince. This is everyone's matter. "Of course Commander", Niles replied and ran to the gates. I fought against Kaze and Rinkah and tried to keep them at bay. They better not get close to the Duelist's Room...
In a blink of a second, I heard the click from the lock. There I could tell, the gates have been opened. "Xander...", I murmured and rushed into the room. I retreated from the fight against the hoshidans. It wasn't worth losing more time on that. I ordered a few Lancers and Mercenaries to take my spot. I wanted to see him...now...
