Arnav was sitting in his room. His head dropped in his hands, fisting his hair.
Why do her tears affect me so much?? He thought helplessly as he remembered the teary hazel orbs looking towards him.
Even after knowing the truth, why my heart always keep going towards her?? His eyes turned misty, as he gulped hard.
He was constantly thinking about that soul who was so close yet so far away from him. Her cries at night disturbed his heart. He had to clench his fist so hard, to control his heart.
His heart which only told him to go and pull her in his arms and kiss away all her tears. His heart which only told him to protect her in the cocoon of his arms and never let go. But his mind never let his heart rule his emotions.
And now, even the sobs were not heard. It was not because her pain was ended. It was because Arnav had not seen her since two days.
Two long days.
He missed her. He missed her presence around him. He missed her fragrance around him. He missed the sound of her anklets and bangles. He missed to hold her.
But she was avoiding him.
And the fault was his own.
Its better that you are keeping your mouth shut. It's easy to bear you this way. He said while grabbing a tie from his wardrobe.
I don't want you to come to office. Atleast do some good thing with your life. His hands tied the knot fast.
But whatever I do, I can't throw you out of this room, he grunted, so here you are making my life hell anyways. He rolled his eyes, straightening his collar.
As he grabbed his bag and blazer from the recliner, he glanced towards Khushi sitting near Lakshmi goat. Her purple dress was spread around her.
Say something Khushi. His heart prayed.
But she kept quiet. Not uttering a word. And not even looking at him.
He bit his lower lip and dashed outside the room. He gulped hard reaching the lounge.
Why you are not you, Khushi? He thought helplessly as he started the car.
And now, it were two days and she never came before him. Not on dining table. Not in room. Not on poolside. Not in lounge. Not in kitchen.
She was nowhere.
And that was making him restless. Finally thinking to end this situation, he got up and marched outside.
Searching the whole Mansion, he stood frustrated in the lounge. Where is this girl? He took a long breath.
All were gone to their rooms. Maybe she is with Nani!? His feet stuttered on the floor as he rushed towards her room.
Nani. He called, knocking the door he entered. The old lady was sitting on the chair with the white goat on her lap, lightly caressing her back.
Chotte! She was surprised to see her grandson.
Nani. Have you seen Khushi? He took a look around the room, hoping that maybe she hid herself here only on his voice.
No, chotte. She did not come here. She frowned. Maybe she is in kitchen. She suggested.
Okay. I will see. He agreed not telling her that he had already checked it.
