Shattered [An Undertale AU Fanfiction]

Amanda sat in class, bored three-quarters to death. The teacher was making everyone review. It sucked ass. For God's sake, she learned this stuff in 5th grade! She didn't need this in her life. All she needed were the basics, not algebra. 

She sighed. If only she could leave this world, and travel throughout the alternate universes. She wouldn't have to deal with this shit, because she'd be in another world before you know it. She'd be free. That's all she needed. Freedom. A second chance. 

Al least this was the final period of the day... and the last day of school. She smirked, thinking of things to do this summer. She could prank her brother, write a song... All these possibilities gave her hope. Hope that she wouldn't have to deal with this hellhole any longer. Hope that maybe she could go to an alternate universe. She tuned the class out. Suddenly, she heard her name called.

"Amanda! Earth to Amanda..." The teacher yelled. Amanda sat up. "Huh? Yes?" The teacher looked annoyed. "x + 8 = 7. Solve for x." The brunette sighed. "x = -1." The teacher looked relieved. "Thank you..."

She tuned out all the voices for a little longer. The bell rang and she stood up and rushed out the door. Luckily, she did not leave her backpack. It had all her drawings and story ideas in it. She ran to the park, where she daydreamed until sunset. Life was pretty peaceful during the summer. She'd eat instant noodles and ice cream, and the occasional piece of cake. She'd go to the skate park, and the arcade. She'd play Undertale and Team Fortress 2 at home. Everything seemed to be well.

A strong wind blew through the park. Amanda looked up and noticed a tree branch dissolving. "What the hell..." she muttered, shocked. Giant cracks started opening in the ground, radiating a white light. People screamed. The world was ending. This was it.

Amanda felt something slip beneath her, and before she knew it, she was falling into an empty blank world. There was nothing but white. "This is it..." she muttered. "This is where I die." She hit the ground, and everything went black.
