Shortly after the class Luke disappears, saying he promised to help a friend out with a project. When I asked him where he was going, he told me Thornshire College. Interesting – my coven mate Say’ri – a division leader of Roseheart – transferred there two years ago. I guess he’s helping out with the yearly movie making project or something.
The students have to create an advertisement for a movie, of which the top three in the school will be given an opportunity to be made into a real movie. I think Say’Ri said she was going to do hers on the truth of the Great Slayer War…. More specifically of the destruction of Endrin’s Star: Coven of the Fallen.
So I guess he’s helping her out? Maybe he knows some stuff or has some contacts? Come to think about it I don’t actually know anything about the guy…
At this point I have arrived at my dorm – a fact I know only because I walked into the door. Lovely.
But really, I literally only know Luke Stone is a half vampire who wants to remain as a human and had a run in with the Slayers. I don’t know how he knew about the witches or why he went so pale when he mentioned them. He looked like he’d been digging himself a hole… weird….
And those weak spots – the extent of pain it caused him when they hit his shoulder – just whoa. He almost seemed to try and run from the pain. Like... a previous and very severe injury. But he said he’s only been a half-vampire for a short while and that sort of injury – the depth of pain from it – would likely kill a human. Probably even a half-blooded vampire...
I’m just thinking things through when my phone buzzes. I jump. Looking I realize they must have added me to the chat by accident.
…. Shinra too. Odd….

I grin. Leave it to Lizbeth to get grumpy about a smug @holy_hell! Come to think of it, I only know two people in the Thornshire division of Roseheart... I mean, I know three names, but I’ve only met two. Say’Ri and Lizbeth. I have yet to meet @holy_hell or @inyodreams... I just know the latter’s name is Yazeed El’Meurtos. Say talks about him all the time...
I need to meet them in person – after all they’re of my coven.... Anyway, just the conversation alone is amusing enough. But it’s not my position to pry. Yet. I chuckle at the thought.
About an hour later – class is over – Luke is back. He promptly heads to his home. Hops on a fancy motorbike and heads out. Huh. I didn’t know he had a motorcycle. It's one of those fancy sporty looking ones in black and red.
My phone pings and I glance at it only to burst out laughing. Lizzy and Jasper look at me weirdly.
“Just received a video of Say sleeping in class. She’s got the teacher glaring at her cause she’s sleep talking.” I explain, chuckling.
They shrug and wander off. I listen to the recording, only to drop my phone. Say’Ri is mumbling. In her sleep. Something of actual importance.
“Shinra…monkeys in pants…. Coven…. 1 Elwir Street…. Shinra home…. Popcorn, cornpop…. Same diff….” she mutters.
I don’t listen to anything else, just take off running towards Shinra’s home. Halfway there at a country intersection in creepy forest country, I’m tackled from behind and everything goes black.
Fortunately I manage to order Andres to stay away before hand.
