Black
The next morning when I had woke up Devine and any traces of her was gone. Everything was there and nothing was out of place but it was like she was never even there. I'm usually a light sleeper especially in these type of situations but hell I didn't hear that girl even breathe when she slept that night. Normally it was me rushing out before a bitch woke up, I had never been done that way before. A nigga didn't know how to feel about it.
Devine wasn't anything like what I was use to, She wasn't anything I had ever encountered before. Hell, she didn't even leave a number or Instagram, not a damn thing. I ain't even know how to get in touch with her. A nigga wasn't trying to be a stalker or nothing but you down just swallow my dick whole like that and think I'm just gone be okay after that, bitch I need you do that again."I'm having a BBQ this weekend, you down?" Durk asked as soon as I walked into the door.
"Probably. Probably not" I shrugged sitting down on the couch.
"You act like you got something else to do"
"Y'all don't know what I got"
"We'll I'm inviting everybody, we gone have Dominos, Spades, going, everything. You might as well come through"
Durk owned a buy here pay here car lot and usually his office was spent with just us sitting in it instead of actual working. Durk "owned" it but we were all legal partners in it. One thing that I had learned was to always keep something legit and on the up and up because you never know how fast shit can change or who might be counting your pockets. I wasn't no fancy nigga, I didn't just go out blowing through racks on racks or trying to impressive no Nigga or bitch.
I definitely wasn't with all of that capping. I wasn't hurting for nothing and money wasn't shit that was hard to come by. I just had to learn that wasn't shit but fake clout when you do all that flossing."You alright? You normally a asss but you seem kind of out of it today" Los tells me.
"I just got a lot going on, let's get this done though" I tell him.
I wasn't going to tell them just yet about the whole Devine situation. Because I ain't feel like hearing them say a nigga was acting like a bitch or nothing. I just decided to let it be what it was and keep it pushing. There was really nothing else to do. I mean of course, I couldn't stop myself from trying to look her up and find her but once that failed I just gave up. I wasn't going to keep going out of my way for no reason.
That weekend the weather was nice, the sun was out, it was hot as hell, so I figured that I would stop by Durks BBQ just for the hell of it. When he said he invited everybody he didn't lie. He had invited almost everyone one of our friends out here and there was a bunch of people that I wasn't familiar with also.
"Yo wassup!" Durk yelled from the cards table."He loosing all his money today" Tyree said.
"You letting him bleed you, G?" I asked Durk pulling up a chair.
"Don't believe me, how long have I been whooping this nigga ass in everything? He talking out the side of his neck, bro" Durk waved me off. "But it's some food already done, better make sure you eat. I bought enough but you know how Niggas be they be making they to go plate the same time they making they here now plate!"
"You ain't got to tell me twice"
"Hey, babe y'all need anything else?" I spun around getting ready to speak but force stopping in my tracks. "Hey, Black when did you get here?" Durks girlfriend asked coming over to give me a hug.
"Not long." I looked between here and Devine who stood next her with this sly smile on.
"This is Devy. My brothers wife, Dev I think you met everyone else. This is Black, my brother from another" Tyree spoke.
"Nice to meet you" Devine extended her hand still looking at me like she had never seen me before.
"Your brothers wife huh?" I asked Tyree.
"Yeah, he should be in the house. He was just going to make him something to eat too"
No wonder why Devine was gone before I got up, hell she had places to be that she wasn't supposed to be missing from. Tyree was a good of ours, I couldn't exactly say that I was close with his brother like I was him but we hung out a lot. His brother moved in a lot of ways that I ain't really care for and he did a lot shit I didn't support but that was neither here or there.
"You look real familiar, what did you say your name was again?" I asked Devine.
"Devine, and I get that a lot" she laughed.
