"MINJI WHERE DID YOU GO?" I say while running around the house trying to find Minji, How do kids her age have so much energy? Us old people are so slow. Her footsteps grow quieter by the second until I don't hear footsteps at all. I look in every single room and can't even see Minji, my blood pressure starts to rise a bit as time passes and Minji is still no where to be found. I run to the hallway and see the door slightly open,
"Oh shit what have I done?" I say and grab my phone and a coat and run outside the door. I quickly dial Taehyung's number and hope for a response,
"Pick up, pick up Taehyung" I say frustrated
"The number you have dialed is unavailable" The phone robot says
"Are you serious?!!?"
"Pleas leave a message after the beep...................beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"
"Taehyung! please hurry Minji's missing I'm infront of our old school now, please" I say
I look around the school and hope to find Minji, where would she be? knowing her she wouldn't run away like this. I start pacing back and forth in front of the school until I hear panting coming from a couple meters away.
" Tilly neo gwaenchanh ni? (are you okay) A puffed out Taehyung says
"N-no Minji's missing and it's n-not like her to just r-run away" I say as my hands shake slightly.
"Tilly don't worry we'll find her" Taehyung says as he grabs my hand
"It's my duty to protect you and Minji remember?" Taehyung replies and places my hand onto his chest.
"O-ok Tae, but where should we start looking??" I ask
Taehyung's POV:
"What places does Minji like? your her mother you know" I say to Tilly
"S-she likes parks and grocery stores, I guess?" she says with a shaky voice, i hold Tilly's hand and start walking.
"Then lets start there, shall we?" I say and Tilly nods her head, I really hope her anxiety doesn't get the better of her she is already stressed enough as it is. We walk towards the nearest park and look around in every possible place there could be, Geez where could this child be??? one second she's all cute and clingy towards you the next she's totally disappeared.
"Taehyung she's not here, she's not here!!!" Tilly says as tears form in her eyes
"Tilly we just started looking, we'll find her" I say and think of an idea
"Tilly how about we check out one place in particular?" I suggest
"Fine" Tilly says and follows me, it might be possible for Minji to know this place it might not but we should still try. It was now 11:50 pm and we were walking to the place I was thinking about , it was a good 20 minutes away and we arrived.
"T-taehyung why does this place look so familiar at this time of day or night" Tilly asks
"This is where the accident happened, remember?" I ask
"uh-....... I remember now" she says
"Remember where I found you before everything else happened?" I say
" Yes, behind some fake tree wall or something, why?... wait we should check there" She says
"Exactly my point" I say and walk towards the 'hideout'.
"Ladies first" I say and hold the leaves from touching Tilly
"Wow now I really remember this place, you and your grand entrance was hilarious" Tilly says
"Hahah very funny now lets look around" I cut that convo short, there wasn't much ground to cover it was that it was too dark. We both turn our phone flashlights on and search again, I freeze as I see something.
"UH T-tilly look at this" I say as I hold up what looks to be Minji's bag half ripped. Tilly gasps as she sees what was in front of her,
"N-no that can't be Minji's, why is it ripped?!?" She says
"Tilly this is Minji's, why is there a photo of Jungkook here?!" I ask a bit frustrated
"It's just I was going through our old photos from high school then Minji came into my room and asked who everyone was" She says
"But why would she take his photo?!?" I say slightly annoyed.
" I don't know Tae the first few seconds she was fine then she ran away with his picture in her hand" Tilly says.
"That's it we're taking this to the police!" I say grabbing Tilly's hand and started fast pacing
"Ouch!, what is up with lately Taehyung ?? Are you tooooo stressed out?" Tilly asks making me almost lose it.
"Tilly don't you dare go there, now come on" I say
Tilly's POV:
"NO! SHE'S MY KID TAEHYUNG NOT YOURS, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I DON'T TRUST THE POLICE I'VE ALREADY LOST ONE LOVE OF MY LIFE I'M NOT GONNA LOSE THE OTHER!!!" I say as I pull my hand away from Taehyungs.
"I thought you of all people would understand Taehyung, looks like I was wrong," I say as I storm off.
"FINE HAVE IT LIKE THAT NOT MY FAULT I STILL LOVE YOU AND WANT TO ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU UNLIKE JUNGKOOK" Taehyung shouts and storms off in the opposite direction.
Those words stabbed me so much in the heart, how can he talk like that about Jungkook he was his best friend for god's sake. Uh I need to have a drink to clear my head, afterwards I need to find Minji. I walk to the closest bar and when I say close I mean 15 minutes away, As I walk in the scent of alcohol fills my lungs - I make my way to the stools and sit down.
"What do you want kid?" The bartender asks me
"two shots of vodka, one shot of rum mixed please" I say with my head resting on the wooden bar.
"Geez rough night I'm guessing" The bartender says
"You could say that" I reply
"Don't worry open tab on me, drink as much as you need then I'll call a designated driver for you" He says
"Thanks a lot"
Third Person's POV:
*after multiple drinks later.....
"I'M SO F***ING DONE WITH LIFE I HAVE NO ONE LEFT" Tilly says as she sobs on the bar table
"Don't worry kiddo, do want me to call someone to take you home?" The bartender asks Tilly. Tilly shakes her head and steadily gets up from the chair.
"I'll be fine to go home by myself, bye and thanks so much" She says and walks out the door.
As Tilly was walking a sudden chill swept in and made Tilly shiver, She was thinking of the many place Minji could be. a couple blocks away was Taehyung completely frustrated by the fact that Tilly stormed off instead of trying to find Minji by going to the police.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HELPP M-" Tilly screams like her life depended on it which it really did.
Taehyung heard and ran towards her scream, but he was too late he saw a black van and two dark figures shoving Tilly in the van - He ran towards the van but couldn't catch up. What caught his eye was another dark figure jumping onto the back of the van basically blending in with the rest of its surroundings. Who was that? Taehyung thought.
