The Mysterious Vacation

The Real Story

Jess and Dillon never keep a secret and know they are on a  path too. Their families are planning to go on vacation. They are going on a multi-family vacation trip to the woods to camp for the 3rd year in the row and they think it will be better this year because they all the places in the woods and they will have fun playing “ Hide & Seek” and “ Tag/ Freeze Tag.” Dillon only one reason to go to the woods. To eat marshmallows. He loved it when they put above the fire until the it gets all mushy and when it would melt in his hands. They family packs up on a very pleasant & humid morning. There was a camping spot  was about 50 miles from their house. It was the same one from last year but unfortunately they cut down some trees in the area. They think they might of have cut some of the spots they made where they were. they hoped not because Dillon and Jess had buried a little rock that almost looked like a gem. When the get their they see the forecast is clear so they decide to go into the woods without their trailer. That night they eat marshmallows and go to sleep. Soon it starts to rain because of the humidity. Dillon and Jess are the first one awake in the creepy humid night. Something was attracting them like a really weird force. It just kept on attracting them. They find a jewel mine and then they see something totally opposite. It says  “STAIRCASE TO CALIFORNIA” then it says “ CHILDREN KEEP OUT!” They don’t bother to follow what the signs say. They go and see a sign and it says passage to the entrance to the Grand Canyon. They think it is really late so they start to head back. While on the other hand their parents are awake and they have a security squad, police bikes, and lots of other things.  They are relieved that they have help from security but they are puzzled that their kids would just leave without any supervision. They come back but they see the security squad and they become part of it. When they go back to the tent site they slip out into the their own sleeping bags. The parents decide to do one last check at the tent site and the kids were there and both mothers were relieved. They said one went to the supply to get batteries for the flashlight and one needed to go to the bathroom. The parents looked they were suspicious so the kept two of the highly trained security men to guard the camp site.
