Flights

I woke up around 6:30 the next morning
to my alarm clock.

"I never set my alarm last night?" I thought

While I was considering going back to sleep, I glanced over and saw boxes stacked floor to ceiling.

"Shit.." I whispered to myself. I couldn't go back to sleep because my flight left at 10 am and I still had to pack up a couple more boxes.

I weakly get out of bed and walk over to my vanity.

"This is why I wear makeup". I said quietly. I am a very insecure person and I always wish I was as pretty as those girls in the magazines.

I go to my bathroom and take a quick shower and wash my face.

I decided since I was just going to be on a plane for three hours that I wasn't going to anything special to myself. I put on my black leggings and a light blue off the shoulder crop top that said "twerk it". For my makeup I just simply wore concealer, eyeliner and mascara.

I grabbed my phone, my charger and my carry on bag.

Because it was only 7:15 in the morning I slowly walked down the spiral staircase. My mother was just finishing up packing so I decided that I'd walk to the Starbucks down the road.

"Mom do you want anything from starbucks?" I asked

"Yes please, just get me a caramel macciato and a blueberry scone."

"Okay, I'll be back soon.."

I slipped on my vans and walked out the door. When I got to Starbucks I ordered my moms caramel macciato and what I normally get.

"A tall decaf iced caramel mocha with light whip and a cake pop" I told the barista

As I waited for my drinks I got a text from an unknown number. It said: "Hey, Alyssa! I'm Hayes, your mom gave me your number, I hope that's okay  anyways , I heard you're moving here today and I just wanted to make sure you at least know one person when you move  so if you have any questions just text or call me whenever! I can't wait to meet you ✌ "

"Awe that was sweet" I thought to myself

(H- Hayes, A-Alyssa)

A- Hi Hayes  and yeah its totally fine  I can't wait to meet you either !!

H- Haha good  do you know what time you'll get here?

A- my flight leaves at 10 so probably around 1 or 2? 

H- okay great see you then , bye ! 

A- byeeee

I looked at the time, its eight already?!? Damn.

I walked home and the moving truck had all our boxes and furniture in it already. I walked inside grabbed my bag and went back out to our car, gave mom her Starbucks and headed to the airport.

-at the airport-

"Flight 375 to North Carolina is now boarding "

"FINALLY !!" I groaned "We've been waiting for two hours!"

Me and mom boarded our plane and found our seats. We sat down and relaxed for the rest of the flight.
