Darkness fell back through to find itself once again in Hell. It turned back in wonder at the crack in the wall it had just traversed, not once, but twice. The crack was no longer glowing as it had been, enticing, drawing in, as if beckoning to another existence. What it had experienced out there, up there, was incredible, lightness, freedom, a coolness it had never before known.
It was now as if it was no longer wanted there, no longer to be allowed to feel the expansiveness of that other place. Hell truly is to have felt so incredible and then be drawn back into this heat, this pressure, this misery all around it; this, Hell.
As if someone had shut down the doorway to...where? Somewhere... up there. It almost looked upward at the thought, as if it had eyes. It had been around these human souls for far too long. Just then, a ripple passed through the caverns. Thermals passed along the disordered waves in the river of spirit energies amassed throughout the various caverns of Hell.
This particular massive cavern was adjoined through descending slides into yet other vast caverns in a nearly eternal Mobius strip of a single sided band of enormous interconnections. Big enough to hold the souls of all eternity from, everywhere. Perhaps though merely many-wheres, but not quite every-where.
There was afterlife here though, from some of these every-wheres.
All were pressed tightly upon one another. These souls of the damned were packed so tightly together that they were nearly fused and so flowed like an ocean of numbness, a tributary of vast pain and suffering.
It would look to these beings, were they still living, as if thousands upon millions upon billions were being pushed into these large caverns under unbearable pressures and temperatures and they floated along these fluidways together. Just as if gravity had meaning here, they would be swept into deeper and more heated caverns in a great ground swelling of writhing souls and screaming spirit energies. They were forever swept further and deeper more and more into a vast, seemingly never-ending round-robin of Hell.
Of course Darkness wanted out of it. Everything wanted out of it. But only One here could allow that ever to happen. And He would never release... anything. Not, willingly. Not, knowingly.
Once His. Always His.
The souls here were not just the deceased, not just the damned, but also parts of every living being’s unfocused and negative thoughts. Those deleterious contemplations that some do love to revel in, thoughts that others avoid even thinking of, to the point of splitting their personalities from the one into several. They too have partial souls here swimming in their own earned sea of anguish, sweeping through the torrents of Hades, these fire bathes of utter iniquity.
Some had no investment in Hell, some had an investment of abundance. Those who have none are safe from this place when they perish. Those who have enough invested in Hell, arrive here at the point of their demise to continue in full torment, forever.
Like a light switch, one moment on, the next moment….
The spiritual thermoclines altered suddenly from an influx of souls. The caverns shuddered with the rumblings of the uneven waterfalls, the jagged soulfalls as the currents run over from one cavern into the next lower one, always descending, ever plunging downward, even when they would come back around again in these eternal dances that are the Tides of Hell.
No Angel dares tread here. For just as souls bleed here, so do Angels.
Only the fallen, the Eternally Damaged and those beings formed here like Darkness from the infinitesimal sloughing off from uncounted multitudes of sad existences, all once part of the Overworlds. Places these beings like Darkness having never set foot, claw or tentacle above, and will vainly and forever crave.
This, was Hell.
