Not easy

THE BEGINNING IS SLOW

With open eyes every morning staring into the light yellow,paint peeling,ceiling thinking of how life can get any better than what she has now. A deep sorrow filling her gentle heart,a sorrow that she wishes to no one,a sorrow that makes everyday,every night feel painless and empty.

"Nova. Honey are you awake?"

"Yeah nana,about to get dressed."

"Alright,we're about to leave,just to let you know."

Nova,the sweetest young women you'll ever meet. Now 19 and living with her grandparents and hoping to be able to begin college soon and be able to feel that feeling of achievement in life instead of a highly disappointment that penetrates deeper every time someone would come to her and tell her about the useless times Nova stayed home. Not long ago did she move to New York hoping to see a better future,hoping to get rid of all the bitterness people planted in her. California was just a lost path for her with no where really to go but home and no sight of a good future.

As she zooms through her usual early morning thoughts,she gets ready to take on the long day with black shorts and her favorite a black shirt sleeve shirt. Rapidly grabbing her black-knitted purse and a folder with important information 'Thank you Lord for another day and morning' as she thought she opened the door to her room and as she came out of her room she felt a vibration coming from her pocket and chimes ringing. Swiftly pulled out her cellphone and saw the name of the caller. "Mami!HI!"excitement pumped through her veins as she answered to her mother. "Hi novi!how is it going over there?" "Quit well,not bad" Nova knew if her mother very well and telling her mother what actually went through her mind and heart then the day would suddenly turn to a dark slow day but instead Nova missed her mothers sweetly loud love and her everyday gossip. "Why you call mami?Everything okay aver there?". "Yes baby everything's fine" surely Nova knew this is just to tell her about her mothers new gossip so she didn't hesitate to ask "What's new mama?" "Well nothing much everyone here arguing as usual.." As her mother spoke her new gossip about usual arguments at home,her mind dreamed of beauty,luscious beauty that make your heart want to stop it's own beat and listen to the Rythm of beauty..." NOVA! are you there? can you hear me or is there no signal?Nova,hello?" her mother soon made her stop her sweet thought process "yeah ma I'm here. Sorry I was getting in the car."she knew this was a lie,she was in the car already and already on her way to the first place of importance. "Okay corazon, I'll call you later just wanted to know how you were doing." "Alright,mami. Bye. I love you." "Love you too mi baby."

Nova and her grandparents soon arrived to the college that will finally give her another chance in this big ugly world. Her grandmother always with a yippie-attitude wished her good luck and her grandfather with his ' I'm a tough guy' attitude made sure Nova knew what she was doing, of course all Nova knew that being nurse would give her a guarantee that she would land a job soon after she graduates and it was something to keep her mind from falling in her every morning thoughts of loneliness and from thinking of those whom she thought were close friends but really were judgmental hypocrites. after the final application she now noticed how close she was getting to a true life.

A women in a silk like burgundy dress approached Nova "Alright Ms.Nova Blossoms you are set to go and will be starting school November,arrive here during October to receive your books and schedule and welcome to the university!" 'nicely done councilor' thought Nova as she thanked the women feeling welcomed to a new strange place.
