Walking into her front door, Fay slammed the door behind her while screaming, “Aunt Emil!” She then watched her aunt strut out of the dining room, looking rather smug. “Just why are you using the front door? You know it’s for important people only.” Gripping her hands onto the banister next to her, she managed to swallow while asking, “Where did you put all my things?”
Looking innocent, Aunt Emil started looking at her nails while saying, “No clue what you’re talking about.” Before she could control herself, Fay was gripping her aunt’s shirt. “Where is it?” Actually looking a little shaken up, she watched Aunt Emil point outside.
Running out, she stopped when she saw a little grave. God it looked like an actual grave. Kneeling down, she swept the dirt away and gasped when she saw the coffin. Hoisting it up, she quickly opened it while rummaging through old clothes. Standing up, she turned around to see Aunt Emil standing behind her. “Where’s my book?”
“You’re going to have to be more specific.” Screaming, she put her hands in her hair while saying, “The book my parents gave me!” Smiling, Aunt Emil pointed to her left and said, “Oh that book?” Following her gaze, Fay screamed again when she saw it burning. Running towards the fire, she desperately tried getting it out, her aunt’s laughter taunting her in the background.
“Say good bye to your precious Musacia.” Feeling her body turn cold, she slowly turned around and asked, “You knew about it?” Waving a hand in the air she said, “Of course I knew. Your mother never shut up about it… one of her many irritating qualities.” Feeling the tears run down her cheeks, Fay continued to watch the book burn while hearing, “It’s a shame that boy toy of yours will never see you again.”
Spinning around so fast it made her head hurt, Fay narrowed her eyes and asked, “Wil was here?” Nodding, she started slowly walking towards Fay while saying, “Poor guy just wanted to convince you to run away with him. Stupid guy.” Shaking now, she looked up and asked, “What did you say to him?” Smiling an evil smile, her aunt looked into her eyes and whispered, “You committed suicide.”
“What!?” Laughing, Aunt Emil was clearly getting enjoyment out of her reaction. “Poor guy, saw your ‘grave’, your empty room, and then suddenly was gone.” Shrugging, she backed up while saying, “Rest in peace Fayette.” She started laughing again, while the tears were now pouring out of Fay’s eyes.
Taking a running start, she pushed Aunt Emil into the fire behind her, listening to her screams. Looking around, Fay angrily poured more gas on top of her, watching the flames come up all around her. “Burn in hell bitch!” She yelled while sinking to the ground.
Wrapping her arms around herself, she started rocking while thinking of Musacia. With all her heart she wished she could stay there forever, and never ever step foot in Greece again. Before she changed her mind, she quickly put the fire out, knowing in her heart she wasn’t a murderer. Her aunt’s body on the other hand, was very burned… something she could live with.
Sinking back onto the ground, she started sobbing and choking on her own tears. When she opened her eyes, she nearly screamed when she saw the palace walls staring back at her. Running inside, she ran through the kitchen, where she ran into Kleio. “Oh my god, you’re alright!” Hugging her back, Fay looked into her crying eyes while smiling and saying, “I’m alright.”
“But Oliver said you committed-” Shaking her head, Fay wrapped her arms closer around the woman while saying; “My aunt tricked him. Speaking of him,” Looking around the empty kitchen she asked, “Where is he?” Seeing Kleio’s eyes turn sad wasn’t the reaction she was hoping for. “In his room.” Quickly kissing her on the cheek, Fay started running while yelling, “Thanks!” over her shoulder.
Running up the stairs, she thought her lungs were about to burst when she came bursting into his room, cheeks flushed and heart racing. Everyone turned towards her, but the only person she zoned in on was Wilheim. Lying on the bed, he was dressed in a light gray sweater and sweats, and very still. “Fayette!” Hawthorne and Ariane said in unison.
Giving them both huge hugs, she slowly turned towards the still Wil on the bed. “What’s wrong?” She asked while walking over. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she gently pushed his hair off his forehead, feeling the tears run down her cheeks again. She jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder, and looked up to see the Doctor looking down at her.
“Wilheim’s suffering from a broken heart.” Swallowing the lump in her throat she asked, “That’s real?” Nodding, he looked back at Wil while saying, “Only three other cases have ever been reported in Musacia, it is very serious.” Squeezing Wil’s hand she asked, “Will he recover?” Sighing, the Doctor’s face fell while saying, “We’re not sure.”
When he had backed away, Fay leaned down to very gently kiss his lips and then his forehead. “Please don’t leave me Wil.” Wiping her eyes she suddenly saw an envelope on the bed side table, with her name on it. Slowly picking it up she heard Hawthorne say, “Wil had written that to you when he came back from Greece the last time. He told us you guys had had a fight, and he felt miserable. But please, open it.” With shaky hands, Fay opened the envelope and took out the note that read,
My dearest Fayette,
It’s been three agonizing weeks without seeing you. I never knew not being able to see you was this hard… but boy was I wrong. I don’t want to jinx myself, but I feel like something is going to happen soon. It might just be some stupid feeling I have inside, but I can’t shake this feeling off. I love you more than anything in the world Fayette, which I should be saying to your face and not to this pad of paper. Unfortunately we haven’t spoken in a while, and I haven’t been able to. I’m planning on going to Greece tomorrow to bring you back to Musacia, to bring you home. And when I bring you back I swear, I will give you this letter. I just had to make sure to write down my feelings, in case something really does happen. At the bottom of this letter you will see a ring, yes a ring. It was my Grandmother Maxima’s ring, and has been in the family for many many generations. I would like you to have it, and to wear it on your finger as my wife. Don’t worry, this isn’t my ‘official’ proposal, please do not be disappointed. In case something does happen to me, please take this ring, so you will always know how much you mean to me. Words simply cannot describe how I feel about you; I wouldn’t have enough paper to even begin to say it. My parents called off me being betrothed, so I’m all yours. They really called it off the moment they met you, they knew you were special just like I knew. I will see you soon my love. I love you now and always and forever.
Wilheim
Forgetting her tears, Fay slowly picked up the ring at the bottom of the letter and simply stared at it. It was simply… gorgeous. The ring was in an oval shape, with a big diamond in the middle. That was surrounded by yellow gold, which had little diamonds in it. Crying, Fay firmly held the ring in her finger while turning around and saying, “Will someone get a preacher in here? I need to marry my one true love.”
Coming up behind her, Hawthorne placed a hand on her shoulder and said, “I can do it. And here,” she then watched him slip his wedding ring off, and gently place it into her hand. “We can get him another one later.”
When everything was done, Fay climbed into the bed, and wrapped her arms around Wil. She then sobbed into his shirt, so desperately wishing that he would open his eyes and see that she became his wife.

“Fay, honey, when was the last time you ate?” Ariane asked while Fay sleepily opened her eyes. “I’m ok.” Sitting up, Fay wiped her eyes while Hawthorne said, “You have to eat. He’ll be fine,” he said while nodding towards Wil. “We swear we won’t leave him alone.” Looking down, Fay gently touched his face with her thumb while saying, “I can’t leave him.”
“Fayette, you better get up and come eat some of my delicious food.” Looking up, Fay smiled when she saw Kleio standing by the door with her hands on her hips. “Kleio, I’m fine.” Snorting, Kleio walked over to the bed and started pulling Fay out of the bed. “Alright, alright.” Looking down once more, she kissed Wil’s forehead and whispered, “I’ll be back,” before walking out of the room.
