1:12 P.M.
Frost woke up, his eyes slowly opened, and was immediately hit with the blinding light on the ceiling.Once his eyes adjusted to the light, the first thing he saw were the dozen hospital beds. They were all empty except for one in the far corner, holding a man with machines supporting what little life he had left in him. He was unconscious, and had a broken arm and lacked his legs up to his knee and thigh.
Looks like he's useless now.. was all Frost thought of him, it was a moment until he realized how messed up that was to think.
Frost was surrounded with white walls, and the light reflecting off of them weren't a very pleasant thing to see. He moved his head to the side, trying to ignore it, and saw a wood table. A small, square grey vase was placed right in the middle. It held a small rose, with a
heart-shaped note attached to it.Frost sat up in his hospital bed and picked up the vase, he took the note attached to it. It was written in black ink and had obvious different handwriting on each word, Frost knew whoever wrote this was trying to look cute.
'Scared us back there. Try not to next time, especially when it's just a piece of glass. Love, Grinch and Thumper.' Frost scoffed, just a piece of glass my ass. He checked behind the note, 'Happy you aren't dead
- Worm'.Grinch always had a talent of having ridiculous ideas, but how he always got people to agree, was something that Frost could never understand.
Frost checked his side, the gash that once tortured Frost was just a mere line pink with stitches. Frost almost forgot where the wound came from, a basic memory was all that was remaining from the supposedly unforgettable experience.
Other than missiles and bullets falling down and making people Frost once called friends bleeding obstacles, not much happened that he remembered.
They were assigned to rescue the vice president of.. what is it again? Phil- Philadelphia? No.. Philippines.. Due to the countries having a great bond together, the President (of the U.S.) took the situation to his own hands, -or army. What Frost thought was cute, was that the vice President of Philippines said that their guys can handle it. psh, sure they can.
The way to the suspected place the President was held in, didn't have a hard gun fight. Frost was actually convinced that him and the boys (What Grinch calls team Metal) could have finished up the place in five minutes, max. Maybe the Philippines truly could have done it...
Frost was following close behind Sandman, and quickly got into a position next to the door of the suspected bunker holding 'Redpig'. "Frost, door, now!" Frost breached the door, but barely halfway from opening, what Frost thinks was a poorly made grenade go off, leaving Sandman dazed on Frost, and two enemies aiming their rifles at Coffin, with the intent of ending his life without a second thought. They fired, ignoring the two barely a foot next to them. They killed him, but Grinch and Truck flanked them, taking a quick revenge. Grinch even drew one of their deaths longer, repeatedly bashing his head with the back of his rifle. He took Coffin's dogtags and anything that he carried that looked personal.
Frost was so rushed with adrenaline, that he didn't notice a three-inch piece of glass stuck in him. It somehow got inside of his vest, and managed to dig itself a good one and a half inches inside of him. He suspected it happened while smashing a window and getting surprised with a fist to the face, and a wrestle on the broken glass.
It didn't hit anything vital, but unfortunately, they didn't know that yet. When Sandman fell on Frost, it moved the shard to the left, tearing the skin and flesh in it's path. And when Sandman got up, the same thing happened, but it was pushed to the right, and it got a centimeter deeper. The blood was slow for now. The liquid was just finding it's way to the freshly made wound, ready to overflow it with itself.
