jinyoung stopped midway whilst walking into the room, staring blankly at minhyun who was the only one occupying one of the empty spaces.

"all the seats are taken, i'm sitting on your lap."

minhyun let out a soft chuckle at the younger boy, beginning to play with a few loose strands of his hair when he sat down rather snugly on his lap.

"comfy?"

"mhm," jinyoung leaned forwards and pecked minhyun's nose, wrapping his arms around his neck whilst doing so.

minhyun's smile faded a little, eying jinyoung in concern as he watched how the boy's eyes started to droop.

"hey, you only get clingy when you're tired. how long did you practice for?"

"only a couple hours..."

"jinyoung."

"from six to ten."

"morning to night?"

"mhm."

minhyun sighed, cupping jinyoung's face in his hands as he used his thumb to caress his cheek.

"i'm worried about you, you've been practicing too much lately," his face softened as he watched how jinyoung seemingly melted into this touch. "no one can't handle that much, sweetheart..."

"don't call me that. it's fine, i'm fine, hyung," jinyoung's eyes fluttered shut as he snuggled into the warmth of minhyun's hand, kissing his fingertips.

"you fainted last time, i don't want you overworking yourself. please baby, it's not healthy."

jinyoung stayed in his position, letting the silence between them settle before defeatedly murmuring an 'okay.'

"i know you're worried about our comeback but looking after yourself is more important," minhyun whispered, using a hand to stroke his hair softly.

"you're only allowed to practice six hours max. understand?"

"but hyung-"

"do you understand?" minhyun's expression hardened as he gripped onto jinyoung's hair, lifting his head up to meet his gaze.

jinyoung gulped a little. "yes..."

"yes what?"

"y-yes sir."

minhyun softened once more as he placed a loving kiss to jinyoung's lips, playing with a few strands of his hair, "good boy."
