CHAPTER ONE | SEO CHANGBIN, HIS LACK OF STATIONARY AND JISUNG.
_______________

Changbin grunts once his eyes flutters open, he sticks his hand out, smacking his fingers on the screen of his phone, hoping it presses something-anything, to just make it shut up. His hopes comes true, it stops beeping, letting him drift back to sleep.

"See Changbin! If you don't wake up this instant I won't hesitate to pour freezing cold water on you!" Changbin groans, why is it so loud? He rolls to his side, opening his eyes; immediately meeting the figure of his mother, who has her hands on her hips, an angry scowl on her face. "What?" He says a hoarse voice, making his mom widen her eyes- it was wide as saucers, it looked like it would budge out anytime soon. "What do you mean, 'what'?! You're late for school, for the third time this week, by the way. Get your lazy ass up and get ready, before I make you!" Changbin nods his head repeatedly, placing hands over his ears to muffle out his mother's loud nagging.

He has a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth as he rolls up the short sleeve of his white button up; school uniform, he despises it. He runs to the bathroom, spitting out the toothpaste, making a disgusted expression at the minty taste. He looks at the mirror, he shrugs and leaves his hair as it is. He grabs the bag thrown at the corner of his room, wearing it on one shoulder- he tells himself he looks less of an idiot like that, but he just looks plain messy. "I know you're late, but don't speed up on the road, please." Changbin's mother advises, taking a sip of coffee. "Don't worry mom." He says, about to leave. "And- please, button up your shirt at least." Changbin nods his head, leaving the house.. without buttoning his shirt.

"Mr. Seo! Late again, are we?" Mrs. Jung says, a sarcastic smile on her lips- she looked scary in Changbin's opinion. "I don't know, am I?" Changbin sniggers, earning a couple of giggles from the girls seated in their seats. "Quiet!" Mrs. Jung frustratingly silences the girls, making them cower from fear. "-And, yes, you are late. Very, late." Changbin still stands in the doorway of the class, staring at Mrs. Jung with blank eyes. "Two detentions for you. One for being late, one for talking back. Now, take a seat." Changbin was unfazed, scoffing as he walks to take a seat beside Han Jisung; his who-he-doesn't-want-to-admit friend. "Changbin, you're so bad." Jisung shakes his head, twirling his pen as he slightly chuckles at the behaviour of his friend. "Sure- Excuse me, while I take a nap." Changbin leans back in his chair, closing his eyes with a content look. Jisung just shakes his head once again, not paying attention to the class as well.

"-angbin! Cha- Class ended, wake up." Jisung shook Changbin awake, making the raven haired nod sleepily. They both get up, grabbing their bags. "Aye, you know if Chan can hangout today?" Changbin asks the taller, yawning from the nap. "Yeah, he's busy with his father's workshop today. Maybe tomorrow?" Changbin nods, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his jeans.

Changbin looks at the whiteboard, a dull look on his face as the teacher explained a confusing formula on the whiteboard. "Alright, pop quiz! It'll be very short and easy." Mr. Park clasped his hands together, there were a string of groans following after- one of them being Changbin's. "Wait here while I get the papers."

"Sh*t, Jisung do you have a pen?" Changbin remembers he had lost his only pen the other day, Jisung looks at Changbin with an annoyed glare. "This is my only pen, dude." He deadpans, Changbin groans. Jisung stops, a mischievous smile creeping up his face, "Hey, Yang Jeongin!" Jisung whisper shouted, gaining the attention of the blonde in front of him. "What." the blonde male turns around, a visibly irritated expression on his face. "Changbin's asking you for a pen-" Changbin looks at Jisung with knitted eyebrows, his jaw drops- what was Jisung doing? "Seriously? What idiot comes to school without a pen?" Jeongin scoffs, shaking his head. He turns around to dig into his pencil case, slamming a pen onto a table; it was pink and had a fuzzy bunny charm attached to it. "Do you have any other pen? This one is.." Jeongin groans, huffing out of irritation. "Either take it, or don't. All of my pens look like that, unless you want a puppy charm." Jeongin gives a single laugh, making Changbin roll his eyes.

"Bring pens next time." Jeongin says, about to turn around before Changbin spits back a remark. "Bring normal pens next time." Changbin tells him, leaning over his table to bring his face closer to Jeongin, intimidating him. "Excuse me? do you want me to shove my expensive shoes down your throat? because i won't hesitate to." Jeongin threatened, furrowing his eyebrows. "Go ahead, baby. i'm sure the bottom of a rich boy's shoe tastes great." Changbin snickers, smirking when Jeongin's jaw drops in shock. "You're so irritating!" Jeongin huffs, turning back in front. "Alright class, settle down." Mr. Park enters the class with a small stack of papers, a bright smile on his face.
