Chapter 16

.-Still April 28th-.
Leo's P.O.V.

The look in Keisha's mamas face was unreadable. I couldn't tell how she was feeling, she just stared into my eyes as if she was trying to read my face.

"Mama are you okay?". I said while putting my hand on her hand.

"D-did you say my baby is gone? my one and only child is is dead? why? wh-what happened?" she said, her eyes started to become glossy so I knew exactly where this was heading. I scooted over to her and rested her head on my chest whilst rubbing her back.

"Yes ma'am, she's gone. She forgot she had food on the fire,and the food caught alight, by the time she realised it was too late, so instead of being burned she jumped out the window. right Infront of my face". and then that's when I broke down again, just the vision of my baby jumping and hearing all her bones break as she landed, knowing she had a baby growing inside her soon to be born. Damn that hurts. mama broke down too in my arms she just cried and cried, no one spoke we just shared our tears after a good ten minutes of crying mama sat up off of my chest.

"She was pregnant wasn't she ?" She said looking me deep in my eyes.

"Yes ma'am she was, with my brothers baby, he saw it all happen aswell except he had no sense of remorse, he actually chuckled about her death, I beat him black and blue till the police stopped us. turns out he's been diagnosed with several mental health issues which explain part of his behaviour". she just looked at me with this blank unreadable expression. for another 5 minutes nobody spoke until mama broke the silence again.

"This is all my fault, this is all my fault"

"No ma'am it's not your fault you couldn't prevent a fire".

"Yes it is my fault, if I had been a better mother and taught her well she would neve have even considered leaving you for your ass of a brother! when you were together she would stay at your house, if you stayed together she would have been living at your house then she couldn't have jumped anyway even of there was a fire. If we got along she could have been just staying at my house, but I'm always so horrible to her all the time and now I'll never even get to tell her how much I love her". she screamed ash she broke down in hysterics, she ran into the kitchen and smashed a glass, I ran after her and grabbed her hands mama tried to fight back as hard as she could but she couldn't beat me and she knew it. after a while she gave up and collapsed to the floor, I sat down next to her and cradled her.

"Mama it's not your fault okay, it's not your fault, you know god gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers and gods just testing you now. Will you get through it? You better because I'm not losing you too. Keisha is in a better place now, so mama don't sweat it". I heard her loud cries start to get softer and her breathing start to even out then it turned into light snores and I felt her suddenly turn into dead weight. I picked her up and carried her to her bed, I tucked her in and shut out the lights. I finished mamas cleaning then I left the house and locked the door.

Damn. I mean like damn. I decided I needed to hit up Tia's (Trap), to let all them know I'm back but mostly because right now I needed a blunt. I checked the time.. 9pm, my niggas should be there. I got into my car and headed for Tia's I wanna see how business is going and I missed my bros man. I drove up to the gate and Jeffrey was standing there, just like he should. Jeffrey has been the security guard from before even I started here, back when my dad lived in America, but he decided to move to England. bitch ass.

"Excuse me sir, can I see your ID".

"No can do , I don't need no ID I run the place".

"Sir, the person who runs the place I'd currently in jail so-" I popped my head out the window and stretched my hand to dapp him."shit man Leo, when the fxck did you get out and you ain't tell nobody".
