Mal:Once upon a time, long, long ago... Heidi:well, more like 20 years ago...Mal:Belle married her beast in front of 6,000 of their closest, personal friends.Big cake. Heidi: Yeah, so.. instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected king of the United States of Auradon. Mal: He rounded up all the villains and sidekicks.. Heidi: basically all the interesting people Mal: ...and he booted them off to The Isle of the Lost, with a magical barrier to keep them there.

Heidi: THIS.. is our hood. Mal: No magic; Heidi: no wifi; Mal: no way out. Heidi: Or so we thought. Mal: Hang on, you're about to meet us,but first, this happened.
3rd POV Over in Auradon, Prince Benjamin, more commonly known as Ben, was looking out the window of his castle to The Isle of the Lost. he was in the middle of getting his measurements done (i think that's what it's called) for the coronation.
"Sleeve." the tailor, Lumière, instructed him. He stuck out his arm, still staring out to the Isle. "Head" he said readjusting his head positioning. "Ah-ha" he said pleased with his work.
"How is it possible that you're going to be crowned king next month?" King Beast said slightly startling Lumière, having him bow. "You're just a baby!" he protested, like a typical parent, not wanting him to grow up so fast. "He's 16, dear" Queen Belle said, in favor of Ben taking over the position of king.
"Hey, Pops-- 16?! That's far too young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42." Ben started anly to have his dad interrupt him. "Uh, you decided to marry me at 28." Belle protested to his previous statement. "Well it was either you or a teapot." he joked smiling and turning to Ben, causing him to chuckle at his parents. However, Belle didn't find it as funny and gave Beast a 'look'. "Kidding" he said trying to reassure her.
"Mom, Dad..--Ah! Nn-nnh!" he said trying to move but Lumière interrupted him, having him move back to the platform. "I've chosen my first official proclamation." He said making his parents glance at each other proud and eager to hear about his decision. "I've decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost be given a chance,.. to live here in Auradon." "ah." the Queen squealed quietly, dropping the garment she was holding. Lumière, Beast and Belle froze from his words, mouths agape. "Every time I look out to the island I feel like they've been abandoned." he said walking towards his parents, even though Lumière was trying to measure him.
"The children of our sworn enemies? Living among us?" he asked sternly wondering what his son was thinking. "We start with just a few at first. I've already chosen them." he says proudly
"Have you?" Beast asked annoyed by his son's decision. "I gave you a second chance. Who are their parents?" Belle asked, whispering the first part to King Beast trying to calm him down.
"Cruella De Vil.. Evil Queen.. Jafar.." Ben replied calmly said nervous for the last two. He took a deep breath before finishing. "Maleficent and Hades." "AH!" Lumière yelps, and drops the fabric he was holding.
"Maleficent and Hades! They are the worst villains in the land!" Beast yelled really showing his (not to be cheesy but) beast-y side. Lumière took this as his moment to leave, bowing respectively and leave the castle. "Dad, hear me out!— I won't hear of it! They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!" Ben tried to negotiate with his dad, but got rejected immediately.(i think that works for this sentence 🤷🏽♀️ idk) "Dad their children are innocent. Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Dad?" he asked desperately, with hope-filled eyes.
Beast looked to Belle and she gave him a slight nod, and a look that said she believes in him. The King sighs before turning to his son.
"I suppose.. their children are innocent" He says quietly, and calmly to his son, putting emphasis on 'suppose'. At this sentence, Belle went up to her son, a proud smile visible on her face. She grabs Ben's shoulders and gives them a reassuring squeeze.
"Well, well done." She congratulates her son. Before turning around and starting to walk to Beast. "Shall we?" she asks, linking their arms together as they both leave.
Ben smiles and watches his parents receding figures leave. Ben then turns back to the Isle, staring at it intensely, tugging his jacket all professional like a king would. Little did he know, he was getting himself into major trouble.
