I must have fallen asleep, because I was woken up by the door being slammed open. Me going along with it.

"Oh my God! I am so sorry! I had no idea you were there!" I recognize the voice as Jonah. I stand up and brush myself off.

"It's fine. Can you please go? I really don't want to talk to anyone right now." I ask without making any eye contact.

"I just wanted to apologize for Daniel. He can be a bit... pushy, at times." Jonah explains. "Oh, and your artwork is beautiful, keep it up. I'm always up to model for you." He strikes a pose and I giggle. After he leaves, I walk down the hall and upstairs to the bonus room to watch a movie or something. I look around and find some video games. I decide on Call of Duty and put it into the console. I play for a good hour, when Daniel comes in.

"I heard yelling, is everything okay?" He asks concerned.

"Yeah. I'm just getting frustrated. This guy keeps shooting me!"

"I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to upset you."

"I accept your apology. Do you want to play with me?" I ask sounding like a four-year-old.

"Absolutely! I love COD!" He exclaims.

"So do I. I used to play with Zach all the time." I say grabbing an extra controller and giving it to Daniel. He agrees with me and we start to play again.

"How are you so good at that?!" I complain as we are walking down the stairs. Daniel laughs and I try to look mad, but his laugh is way too contagious. So, I can't help but smile.

"Just practice. That's all I used to do when I was younger." He responds.

"How old are you anyway?" I ask.

"I'm 20. You?" He informs me.

"17, but I will be 18 in three months." He looks at me surprised.

"I knew Jonah was screwed up, but you're underage! That's a new kind of low."

"This has happened before?" I ask kind of hurt, thinking I wasn't anything special.

"No! God, no! I'm just saying, he used to think his foster mom was hot." I was strangely relieved to hear Daniel say that.

"Ewww! His foster sister would be one thing, but his mom? No, that's just wrong." I started to awkwardly laugh and then Jonah walked into the room.

"I see you two are getting on well." Jonah starts, with what is a hint of jealousy in his tone. I think. "What are you laughing about?"

"Nothing." I say before Daniel whispers in my ear.

"He's a pedophile." Daniel whisper-sings. That was enough to push me over the edge of laughter. I was falling off the chair. Daniel wasn't at that point, but he was laughing very hard.

"What is going on?" Jonah asked slightly raising his voice.

"Nothing. Daniel is just really funny." I say looking to Daniel and smiling. Jonah muttered something under his breath as he walked out of the room. "What was that about?"

"No idea. Like I said before, he is screwed up." Daniel said. "What do you want to do now?"

"I have a crazy idea. Do you want to model for me?" I ask, knowing that it would really make Jonah really mad, considering he already offered.

"For a drawing?" I nod. "Sure. Why not."
