*You and Summer were still in the living room, experimenting with Snuffles and seeing what he could do. Jerry was in the living room as well, controlling Snuffles and showing to Beth how amazing it was while Summer recorded the whole thing with her phone. You watched Snuffles in astonishment, mouth strung agape and glimmering, wonder-filled expansive eyes as wide as dinner plates.
"Now bring me my slippers," Jerry ordered the adorable curly white dog.
Snuffles carried Jerry's pink slippers in his mouth, trotting over to the male and placed the shoes down in front of Jerry's feet. And Holy Murphy was this beyond fascinating for you to see.
"Bring me a soda, little dude," you added in and watched as Snuffles just barely nods his head in understanding before adorably trotting to the kitchen. A moment later he came back with a soda standing perfectly still on top of his head and made his way over to you.
"Nice!" you beamed as you snatched the soda, giving the dog a ruffle on the head before cracking open the soda and taking a big sip, feeling the cool liquid maneuvering down your throat in instant refreshment.
"Now, be my footstool, Snuffles," Summer added as she stuck out her feet, continuing to record the tiny canine.
Snuffles scurried over to the redhead and stood in front of Summer's feet, unmoving. She rested her feet on top of his back.
"This is what I'm talking about! This is a dog." a triumphant smirk tugged at Jerry's lip as he viewed Snuffles.
Beth stood a few feet away, a quirked brow formed on her face and an expression of hesitancy displayed on her features. "Oh, yeah. This should play out just fine." the blonde haired woman muttered, unimpressed.
"You said the same thing, equally sarcastically, at our wedding and guess what?" Jerry spoke sardonically.
Everyone was silent for a few moments, tension lingering heavily in the air and becoming an unbearable weight on Jerry's shoulders. Beth flashed her husband blank, emotionless stare. She positioned her hands on her hips, her blonde locks bouncing back and forth slightly as she shook her head from side to side in disapproval before sauntering away to somewhere else. Jerry's smirk faltered then disappeared completely from his face, and he slowly started to fade into a depressed state as his wife walked off, leaving him slumped back on the sofa chair.
You heard a quiet groan from Summer, and rotated towards her and noticed the embarrassed expression that crossed her features. As soon as she made eye contact with you, a smirk twisted your lips as you mouthed the words "failing marriage". A smile bloomed on her face, along with the softest shaded blush coating her fair cheeks, and she covered her mouth as she giggled cutely.
"Ooowwwwowowwaawaa!" Snuffles suddenly mumbled.
Summer perked up immediately, her brown eyes enlarged as she started towards Snuffles. "Oh, my God! He's trying to tell us something," she exclaimed with exuberance, tugging at your arm excitedly with a widened smile.
"De-e-e-ecent!" you murmured and looked down at the dog. "Snuffles, boy, can you repeat yourself?"
"Aaaawwaaaaawaawa!" he repeated.
"Aw, he's saying "I love lasagna"."Jerry chuckled, smiling. Snuffles narrowed his small blue eyes at Jerry before trying to say something else.
"Ooooyayawawa!"
"He's saying "I love Obama"! So cute! I'm posting this online, like, right now. Come on, (Y/n)!" Summer hurried out of the living room, swift fingers typing away at the keyboard of her phone and you immediately followed after her.
