Jayden:
One more drink, I told myself.
"Hey cutie, wanna dance?" I look at the guy, he was really attractive.
"Sure." I slur. He smiles and takes my arm and drags me towards the middle of the dance floor. He hands me a red plastic cup and I swing it back. Everything became blurry and I blacked out.
Next Morning:
I open my eyes to a blinding light. I hiss in distaste and roll over, shielding my sensitive eyes from the light.
"Jayden Sara Lopez-Calaway!" a voice booms from the other side of the room and I slowly look up. My dad was standing there, right beside a pissed off step-mom, "what were you thinking going off last night and not telling us? Do you know how much danger you put yourself in? We were worried sick about you!" Michelle yells. I groan and cover my face with the blanket, my dark blue hair probably looked like a hot mess.
"Jayden, do not cover your face when I'm talking to you!"
"I have a headache, Michelle."
"You wouldn't have one if you didn't decide to go out drinking. Dean and Seth looked everywhere for you."
"Michelle, please. Can we talk about this later?"
"No! We will not wait to talk about something so important." I roll my eyes and roll off the bed, hitting my head against the dresser. I groan and slowly get up, booking it to the bathroom where I empty the contents of my stomach into the toilet. "Jayden, are you alright?"
"I'm fine." I snap, my patience warring.
I wash my mouth out with water and brush my teeth. I wash my face and look in the mirror. I looked like a mess, and not a hot one either.
I grab a towel from underneath the sink and turn on the shower. I hop in.
I dry myself off and brush my hair, pulling it into a braid. I walk into my bedroom, my dad was gone but Michelle was sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Jayden, is there something you're not telling me?"
"No." Michelle looks at me, her eyes shift to my thighs and then back to my face. "it's nothing."
"Self harm is not nothing. What's going on?"
"Please, don't worry about it. Those are old anyways."
"If they're old, then why don't you talk to me about them."
"Cause it's a painful subject."
"Alright." She sighs.
If you haven't guessed it, I'm Mark Calaway's, aka The Undertaker's, daughter. Which means my stepmom is Michelle McCool. And I bet you noticed the 'Lopez' in there too, right? My brother is Colby Lopez, also known as Seth Rollins. Yeah, him. Mister Two-Tone.
I change into Leather combat boots, Tiger print mesh tee, Ripped skinny jeans, Black stretchers, Black lip ring, Black nose ring, Black belly button ring and do my makeup. I release my hair from the braid and brush through it again. I grab my phone, slipping on a #SELFIE iPhone case. I plug in my headphones and place them around my neck. I stuff my phone in my back pocket, after turning on some BMTH and I walk downstairs.
My dad looks up at me, he shakes his head in disappointment and continues on chopping cucumbers. I sit at the table, pulling out my phone and texting a few of my friends - like Tyler Breeze and Carmella.
"Where were you last night, Jayden? Jon and I looked everywhere for you!" I roll my eyes and look at Colby.
"Dude, don't worry. All that matters is that I'm home and safe now."
"Do you wanna know where we found you? We found you in your car, on the side of the highway, headed to Los Angeles!"
"Oh bloody well, Colby!" I get up to leave but he blocks my path.
"It's not oh well, Jayden. You're my responsibility."
"I'm 18 years old, Colby. I'm no one's responsibility." I push him out of the way and walk out the door. I get into my car and drive to the outskirts of Florida, so I could smoke a bit.
COLBY:
"Let her be, Colby. She's 18 now and if she gets arrested for driving under the influence, we won't be the ones bailing her out."
"No, but Jon and Leati will. And what's that going to teach her? That she can just rely on friends whenever she's in trouble? I'm getting sick and tired of always being here, watching her when she should be doing what her lifelong dream has been. To wrestle!"
"Take her on the road with you. Vince won't mind, I'm pretty sure he'll even let you bring her to ringside with you."
"And introduce her as what? Jayden Rollins?"
"Yeah." My dad shrugs, throwing the peppers into the metal bowl and placing it on the table, "oh, can you grab the steaks?" I nod and jog to the garage. I grab the steaks an set them on the counter.
"I just..i just don't want her getting into the business when she's not ready. When was the last time she trained?"
"Maybe if she gets into the business now, she won't have time to focus on the drinking and partying. She'll only have time to focus on her career and personal training. Besides, it'll help her learn a bit of responsibility." I sigh and sit down on the barstool, running my hands through my hair. I look at my dad and he looks at me. "Thanks for grabbing the steaks." I sometimes wonder how my dad is always so calm and collected about things.
"Yeah, you're welcome."
