Buffy and Andi had somehow managed to drag me to the end of the year dance at our college. I'd rather be at home texting Tj, but they insisted i come "come on, Cy, please!?" Buffy said with a pouty lip "i don't want to 5th wheel." I told her frowning "Cy, you won't be 5th wheeling?" Andi asked confused "yes I will, you're going with Amber and Buffy's going with Marty, and i don't have a date since Tj isn't here." I said frowning i really missed Tj we've only been apart for 9 months and we videochatted and texted every chance we got, but it still wasnt enough. We'd been together since the end of 7th grade and i couldnt be happier, i loved him so much, thats why it hurt so unbelievably bad when he said he got accepted to NYU while buffy, andi and i all got accepted to UCLA. After hours of them trying to convince me i reluctantly agreed. We were now in Andi and Ambers dorm getting ready "you look great,Cy!" Andi said as she continued to style my hair with the hair gel she just bought. "I don't feel great, i really don't want to 5th wheel" I told her frowning "you aren't 5th wheeling, someone will want to dance with you!" Buffy told me as she walked out of the bathroom and over to Andis vanity "but i don't want to dance with anyone but Tj!" I told them in an annoyed tone, how could they think i would want to dance with anyone but him! After we finished getting ready we all got into the limo with Amber and Marty. Once we arrived I walked over to the snack table and just stood there eating away my sadness (A/N Thats relatable asf) I heard everyone gasp so i turned around and dropped the glass of fruit punch i was holding "TJ!?" I yelled running up and jumping on him and wrapping my legs around his waist "Hi,babyboy" Tj said smiling as he put his arms around me. I smashed my lips into his and we stayed there kissing for around 5 minutes before i Pulled away and smiled resting my forehead against his "I missed you." I told him honestly "i missed you too,muffin." He told me as he put me down. I heard a bunch of "awws" and a few rude slurs but i ignored them. "What are you doing here,babe?" I asked him confused as to why he came "I missed you and I had to do this." He told me as he got down on one knee and pulled out a white box, he opened it and it had a large diamond ring in it. "You've been there for me ever since 7th grade, even when i was the scary basketball guy who bullied your bestfriend, you still were there for me, and yes, i had a lot of 'stuff' to deal with. But you never judged me and I will forever be grateful for that day at the swings. Cyrus Joseph Goodman, will you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me?" Tj asked as I started to tear up "Yes! Yes! Yes!, a million times, yes!" I said jumping up onto him again and kissing him. "I love you,muffin" Tj told me smiling "I love you too,not so scary basketball guy." I told him kissing him passionately. I'm marrying my lifelong bestfriend and soulmate! "Did you guys know?" I asked andi and buffy as we walked over to wear they stood."maybe, maybe not." Andi said shrugging and smirking, the rest of the dance Tj and I stayed together at the snack table. Until one of our songs came on "There you are" by zayn we walked over to the dance floor and started to slow dance looking into eachothers eyes smiling i rested my forehead against his and whispered "I love you,Tj" i said connecting our lips he pulled away and said "I love you more." I just smiled and shook my head "thats no possible" i told him connecting our lips again, we stayed there dancing with our lips connected for the rest of the night. This was surely a dance to remember
