Chapter 2

Soaring through the air has always been my favorite thing to do, just not when I'm bleeding out.

After a few minutes of flying I can start to make out our hideout. It's a twenty-story abandoned research facility, it had plenty of food when we got there but that was 10 years ago. Now we have to make constant food runs, and after I heal it will be my turn. Me, Kurogiri, Dabi, and my father all live here with all and any other villains that need shelter, or somewhere to hide.

I land in front of the building and walk in. In the day time it looks like no one is living here, but at night people can see our lanterns and candles so we have to be extra careful.

"Yoku!" Kurogiri rushes over and hugs me, "Yoku, your hurt!" He say pulling away and looking at my stomach,

"Good, your still alive." Tomura says walking down the stairs into the room, I can tell that his comment annoys Kurogiri but he says nothing.

"She needs medical attention."

"Let Dabi take care of that." He responds walking back up the stairs. Kurogiri wraps my arm around his shoulder and helps me up to the fifth floor where Dabi's room is.

"Thanks Kuro." He nods and lets go of my shoulder and walks away. I knock on Dabi's door,

"Come in." I open the door he is sitting in his chair reading, When he sees me he rushes over and helps me over to the bed. He walks into the bathroom and comes back out with a roll of bandages, he shuts the door and walks over to me, "Take off your shirt so I can put these bandages on." I already removed the bullets so all he has to do is clean the wound. I take off my shirt and he rubs a wet cloth on the wound to get rid of all the dry blood, but once it's all off it starts to bleed again. He quickly binds the wound, after he is finished he puts away every thing.

"Thank you Dabi." I give him a warm smile, he nods and sits down next to me,

"Does it feel better?"

"Yes it does, I should be fine now. I still have to make a food run or we won't have anything to eat tonight." I say standing up, I can probably leave like this I still have a sports bra on, plus we don't have any extra clothes.

"You don't plan on going out like that do you?" He asks gesturing at my bandages,

"Well, do you wan't to eat tonight?" He doesn't respond. "Thats what I thought." I walk out of the room before he can say anything else. I walk up to the sixth floor where my father and my room is, once I'm up there I knock on the door.

"Yes?" I open the door and walk in,

"I'm going to go make a food run." He's lying on his bed staring at the ceiling,

"Yes yes, go on."

"I'll be back by dark." I walk out of the room and down stairs, Kuro is sitting in a chair by the doors, "I'm going on a food run Kuro."

"But your still injured!" He exclaims standing up and walking over to me.

"Yes I know Kuro, but everyone needs food." He sighs but says,

"Very well." I turn to leave, "And Yoku, please be careful." I nod and smile, he waves and me and I walk out the doors.

This isn't my first food run, so I should be okay. We don't actually pay for the food, thats why we call it a food RUN. I have to hide my wings when I go in to the store, I use a simple cloaking spell, it makes me dizzy but I keep walking. I warp my backpack from home to my hand. I take it everywhere. Kuro gave it to me after he came back from his food run two years ago, it's one of my few prized possessions.

The city isn't too far away from our hideout, so I get there in about half an hour. Thanks to my cloaking spell I look like anyone else on the streets, aside from the part that I don't have a shirt. I walk into first store I see, the shelves are stocked with food, toiletries, and clothes. I grab a cart like anyone else and start walking up and down the isles, once I have everything I need I make sure no one is watching me, then I start stuffing every thing into my bag, I warp another bag to my side and fill that one up to. I zip them both up, make sure they're secure on my back, and then I bolt for the door. The second I'm out the door alarms start blaring but I don't stop, I warp about a mile away from the store but everything past the city is barren and flat with few bushes, so I'm really out in the open.

I can hear sirens behind me and I'm starting to get really tired, so I dive into a nearby bush praying that no one finds me. I let about ten minutes pass before I poke my head out, I can't hear the sirens anymore so they must have gone a different way. I look around and then I bolt out from the bush and I don't stop until I reach home.
