"Mom?" The wolf asked. "Where's mom?"
"You must find your mother.. she's in grave danger.." a familiar voice calls out from the darkness. It soon drifted away.
"Wait! Come back! You can help me!"
No luck.

"Snow!!"
Snow bursted upwards in a flash.
"Were you just having a nightmare? You were spinning, trembling, and moaning.."
"Mom!" Snow says as she nudges her. "I thought something bad happened to you!"
"And I thought something bad happened to YOU." Her mother giggles. "Guess I was afraid for nothing."
"Why are you always afraid?" Snow innocently asks.
"Well.. it's complicated."
"Oh please do tell me. I will understand."
"I'm afraid you won't understand. Now let's go eat breakfast before it gets cold."
"Alright.."
Snow trotted over to the freshly cooked bacon. She thought for a minute. "What is bacon made out of?"
"Pigs of course!" Her father replies while pouring a mug of coffee.
"Well there is also fake bacon.." Her mother says shaking her head.
Her father leaned closer to Snow. "Want to know what Pork is made out of?" The smell of his coffee breath filled her nose.
"I know pigs are made of pork." She replies, scooting away.
"That's right! And I know you want to be a hunter when your older! Just like me!" Her father replies happily. "Gotta know your meats!"
"I rather be vegetarian..." she mumbles.
"You what?" Her father asks.
"I said I rather be uhhhh meatarian??"
"That's not even a word, but I like it!" Her father giggles.
Her mother once again shook her head at his ignorance.

Then the sound of honking filled Snow's ears. "The bus!" She said. She trotted outside and sprinted towards the bus. Right when she got near it, the doors closed. "Dang it!" The bus continued rolling down the streets. She kept chasing it even though wolves aren't the fastest animals. The bus got farther and farther away. She hated her teeth, trying to hold in her anger. Then she felt strange. A white glow came from her paws and she started running faster. She kept up with the bus. A kid inside pointed her out, and everyone was looking at her. Finally, when they reached the school, the kid ran over to her. "You could actually be in the Olympics!" Snow smiled at the offer. "I didn't even know I could do this. I rather figure this out first.. I don't even know how I did it."
"Oh okay! Just remember that you backed down the most amazing offer ever!" The bunny hopped off. Then an arctic wolf trotted towards her, but he kept his distance.
"Hey Snow.." he said shyly.
"Hi Arctie."
"I ride your bus and saw what happened.. You're really cool. I know we are both shy people, but can we be friends?.."
"Yeah sure! It'll be nice to have a friend."
"Is it okay if you show me what you can do with your paws..?"
"To be honest, I don't know how I did it. But I can try.."
Snow thought really hard. She remembered being angry when her 'powers' flared. Then she thought of her parents. She then had a feeling they weren't her parents at all. They looked nothing like her. Were they lying all these years? Is this why "mother" is always so afraid?
Snow grew angrier and angrier. She stopped by the sound of Arctie's voice.
"I think you should look in a mirror.."
"Okay.." Snow said, taking deep breaths. It's like it took the breath out of her. Somehow a mirror appeared in front of her. It was surrounded by a green aura. She then peered into the mirror. She saw her "white" stripes were actually light blue, and her power on her paws were light blue as well. Her diamond and gold earrings were also glowing with blue.
"It's not even winter.." Snow mumbled.
"Winter is when your power is strongest. While you were getting angry it started to snow. And it's almost summer." Arctie said.
Snow looked at his green coat. "Wait you have powers too?"
"I can only teleport things." Arctie said. "Yours is way cooler than mine."
"Well maybe there's something more you just haven't figured out yet. That's kinda what happened to me. I thought white stripes appeared on me during winter. Turns out they're actually light blue!"
Acrtie giggled, and trotted closer to her. "I really like you. I hope we can be friends forever."
Her cheeks felt warm as they sat under her snow together.
