When I woke up I didn't know where I was. Someone came into the room. She looked at me and then quickly walked out of the room. About a minute later the same woman came back with a man in a white lab coat.
The man said, "Hello my name is Doctor Jacob Jeffrey and this is Nurse Clara Bennett."
The nurse continued, "Doctor Jacob is going to ask you some questions, all you have to do is nod your head and point. Okay?"
I nodded a quick yes. The doctor started with, "Do you know your name?"
I thought that was a rather silly question but nevertheless nodded my head yes. "If I were to give you paper and a writing utensil would you spell it for me?"
I nodded a yes but then proceeded to not follow the 'rules' and said "Why can't I just tell you my name?" he sighed and said "We need to test something is that alright with you?"
I replied with a simple yes. He then said in return, "Well then I am going to go get some things I will be right back." I simply nodded.
After about five minutes the doctor came back in and sat in his chair after setting some papers and books on the weird table thing.
"Okay," he said, "will you pick up the pencil and write out your full name and date of birth?" I replied with a quick yes before attempting to pick up the pencil. but my arm didn't move, I looked over to the doctor who sighed and said, "Just what I thought, we feared that with the severe head trauma that you underwent you would be leave you paralyzed. We just don't know to what extent"
I replied hysterically with "So you mean to tell me that my arm is now just a thing that will get in the way! And my name is Juliet Rose, and I was born on December 9th 1999. Just to let you know since I can't write it"
"OK Juliet I know this is hard for you to understand, but we did everything we could, there is another thing," he paused as if to figure out what he was going to say next, then he started again, "Your parents didn't make it" and just like that my world came crashing down. For the second time in just a matter of minutes.
