Older siblings are the worst.
Ask anyone with even a single elder sibling and they'll confirm that fact. Unfortunately for 13 year old, Clarity Agreste, she happened to have two, Emalie and Hugo, 18 and 16 respectively. Now normal siblings would be bad enough, but the Agreste family was far from the word. They were famous for one, their grandfather having started a fashion empire sort of cemented that fact, especially when their mother Marinette took over the company when the old man retired. Not to mention they owned the best bakery in all of Paris on top of it all. But that wasn't the thing that made them special, anyone could be rich afterall, you see what made them special was the fact that secretly they were all superheroes or supervillains if grandfather Gabriel was taken into consideration, that is almost all of them were super. Her parents, Marinette and Adrien, were Ladybug and Chat Noir for many many years. Once the two eldest Agreste children were old enough the miraculous's And kwami, the object and creatures associated with these superpowers were passed down. Emalie got the earrings and became ladybug, Hugo got the ring and became Chat Noir. And that left Clarity with....nothing.
Absolutely nothing. No powers, no miraculous, and certainly no kwami. They only had two to give after all. This wasn't the first time Clarity had gotten the short end of the stick either. Emalie had inherited their fathers gorgeous green eyes and blonde hair, she was a natural at basically everything, Clarity honestly couldn't think of a single thing she wasn't good at. Second place just wasn't a word in her sister's vocabulary. Jugo had snagged their moms ravenette hair and whatever scraps of the green eye genes Emalie had left behind. So what had that left Clarity with? Chestnut brown hair that she disdained and the most brilliant blue eyes in Paris. Okay, so maybe Clarity wasn't upset about her eyes but in a family of ravenette's and blonde's her her brown hair had made her stick out like a sore thumb.
It was hard. being shadowed by her heroic siblings. Their spotlight just cast a shadow so strong that made her light almost impossible to shine through. It drowned her out, dulled her to the point of invisibility as they shone like a sun and the moon, but she was only a star. A pathetic twinkle in the darkness. A mere insignificant spark, at least thats how it felt most of the time.
Then one day, with a simple wish upon a star everything changed.
